The book opened after a few drops of my blood and Frances and I exchanged glances. I didn’t waste another minute as I looked through the book. It was a grimoire, but I don’t know who could have owned such an old book. There were many spells in it that I recognised from my own family books and many that I did not. My family spell book had spells that were of witches' everyday use, which had side effects if it was done wrong. However, this book didn’t just have side effects but some had warnings. The ones that were dangerous had warnings and others would say they were forbidden to ever use. There was one that I stopped at.
