"Happy Birthday!" Everyone cheered when Amara opened her eyes heavily for she just got in bed. She groaned with the full lights open in her entire room. Half eyes opened, she saw her mother holding a pink cake with a candle in it. "Wake up sleepy head, it's your birthday. Are you not going to celebrate it?" her mom asked. Amara being used for early cake in her birthdays just chuckled a little. She looked at the wall clock and it really said, 12:03 am. Her eyes widened when she realize she was only sleeping for 6 hours now and she felt that she just got in bed. "Amara what are you thinking?" her dad said getting her attention into the cake. "The candle is melting, come on princess, blow it now," he said, getting scared for the candle. "Did you guys hid this cake somewhere or just had it delivered? I didn't see any cake in the fridge earlier," Amara said while getting closer into her dad holding the cake and kind off panicking for the candle. "You fell asleep early so your brother and immediately ran outside to buy you a cake and we prayed so hard that you won't get up until 12 am," her mom answered with a sweet smile. Amara closed her eyes and make a wish, blowing the birthday candle that made her dad sigh in relief. He was really worried for the candle to melt in the cake. "This cake cost too much. It would be waste if candle melt in it," he said making Amara, her mom and her brother burst into laughter. "Dad, can you be mature?" Amara asked while laughing. "Happy 19th birthday, princess. How can you grow so fast? You are now taller than your mom, she's now the smallest among the family," she heard her dad said. "Still not allowed to get a boyfriend," her brother said making her to give him a glare. She was always been not allowed to get a boyfriend for her brother. "Oh My God! My baby, is not so baby anymore," her mom said dramatically. "Mom, dad, Leo, I thought your drama would end up in my 18th birthday. Come on guys, stop the drama, I was already legal last year. Why are you so all dramatic?" she said laughing a little facing her family. The most precious things that she have. She may have the life the every girl in her age wants. She maybe have expensive clothes, shoes, bags and all but she would never put her family next to all that stuff because she will always put them in front. "You were always our baby," her mom said and hugged her tight. She laugh and groan when her brother and father joined them. "Guys, you are crashing me," she said under the tightest hug. "What time you and your friends will leave?" she heard her dad said and then she remembered the reason why she forces herself to sleep very early at night. They will be leaving at 2 am. She will be celebrating her birthday with her friends in their resort somewhere in South. "2 am, thank you for allowing me mommy, daddy," she said and gave her parents and peck kiss in their cheeks. "What about me? Are you not going to thank me for telling mom and dad to say yes for you?" Amara rolled her eyes with her brother's jealousy. They always have each other's back and he was right, she asked her brother's help to make their parents say yes for her vacation plan. This will be the first time that she is going to celebrate her birthday with her friends. Well, she will be having a post celebration in Italy in 3 days. Her parents decided to celebrate her birthday there for they will be visiting their grandparents. "Well, thank you brother Leo," she teased. "Alright, happy birthday again. I'll put the cake in the fridge and have some. Happy birthday princess, daddy loves you so much," her dad said giving her a kiss in the cheek as well before going out in her room. "Take care, make sure to have your phone open so I could reach you. Your license, your stuffs and all ------" "Mom, you don't have to worry about me. I will not be gone for long, it's just 24 hours," she said interrupting her dramatic mother like always. "Fine," she surrender and follows her dad. "I have already informed the staff that you are your friends will probably be there in breakfast time so they can have breakfast meals for you guys," she smiled to her always been supporting brother. "How can I live without you?" she said clinging into her brother that just gave her a kiss in her head. "Mom and dad will always be happy seeing you happy. We will do everything that makes you happy and that we can, except asking to have a boyfriend," Leo said. "Thank you. I love you guys, always," she said and let go of her brother to check her bag. Like what her mother said, she has to make sure that all her stuff needed are complete. Amara's smile fade and immediately went to face palm when her brother just walked out without saying bye. She hissed with the closed door. "That freak, sweet but bitter," she mumbled, shaking her head. Amara prepared herself and after getting dressed she went out of her room and go straight to the kitchen for coffee and eat the cake her parents bought for her. While busy eating her phone alarm so she rush to finish her 2nd sliced cake, just right after she eat, the doorbell rings and she smiled. Her parents are probably sleeping by now and her brother is there, busy facing in her computer playing some games that Amara do not know what it's called. "Leo, they're here. Can you please open the gate for me?" she asked her brother and like always, he can't say no to her little and only sister. "Hello, brother Leo!" Amara's girl friends greeted her brother. Well, they are all girls. "Make sure you five will take care, otherwise, I will kill you all," Leo said without minding the sharp glare from her sister and made her friends burst into laughter. "Bye big brother Leo, just please tell mom and dad, I left," Amara said. Leo nodded and leave a kiss in her forehead before she enter in the shotgun seat of her friend's car and drive away from their place. "Let's change now, Viv," Amara said, referring the wheels for only her knows how to get their resort. The car stopped and the change. "So breakfast will be ready when we get there?" Amara nodded to her friends question. Vivian, played a music and they were all happily singing along. "Dianne, you better have plan where we should go in your birthday, that will be in 3 weeks," Amara said looking at her friend in the back seat through the rare view mirror. They were just laughing their lungs out, sharing happy thoughts and making plans what they will be doing when they get in the resort when two faster cars are coming in their way. "AMARA!"
