It all changes

A Special Guest

As i was changing into something more appropriate for company Alpha Clyde yells up to us that the guest is here. We head down to the great room and I hear Aurora crying. My wolf takes control ready to defend her mom at all cost. I turn the corner to see a man holding my mom like his life depended on it. "Dad" i squeal. I run over to join in the hug and my dad says "hi kiddo. You've really grown up."

I feel Lucy wondering what our dad looks like and why it felt like she felt their love. Dad says he missed me as he hugs me tighter. Johnny's dad walks in on the reunion and clears his throat. It looks like he is ready to tackle my dad like a highschool boy who has been separated from his fried for too long.

He smacks Johnny on the back of the head and Johnny says "it's a pleasure to have u Alpha Damen."

I chuckle as Johnny rubs the back of his head and says to his dad "I didn't want to rin the reunion.'

Before i let lucy back in control i tell her this is our dad Damen. She instantly wraps her arms tightly around dad and doesn't let go. Even though I let Lucy take control again i feel her every emotion and it breaks my heart to feel that she finally feels like she has a family. It feels like she's afraid to let dad go. I feel the emotion of feeling like she finally belongs.

Dad notices the change in me and gently says "I love you Lucy." With that my tears fall. I can't help but cling tighter to my dad. It's been sixteen years of feeling like my i didn't belong with my family, and now hugging my father and my mother standing beside us my heart felt full.

"I love you too, dad." I say. My mom and i fill dad in on the night of the attack and how Keith was apart of it. Johnny sat next to me with his han don my knee which comforted me as I recounted the night the only dad i knew tried killing me, "Where is he' dad boomed as he started trying to catch Keith's scent.

"Damen my old friend" Alpha Clyde intervened. "You remember my Luna Bonnie" he asked mom and dad.

"Bonnie, Clyde"...my dad bowed his head in respect. "Thank you for the hospitality towards my family until i could get here. Clyde are you up for a round of questioning with me like old times" he asks as he slaps his hand on his shoulder.

"You know it old friend" he says as he leads dad to the cells that hold the dead ones, rogues and his friend from long ago.

My mom wraps her arms around Luna Bonnie and says "my daughter couldn't have been given a better mate. I've always considered you and Alpha Clyde as family."

Johnny had headed out for a run when our dad's went to the cells. His mom is stunning. Dirty blonde hair that runs to her waist in tight ringlets and the same white eyes. As if she felt me admiring her beauty she says "Lucy dear would u like something to eat from the kitchen."

"Actually, some lunch sounds amazing." I say as my growl to confirm my answer.

"You just sit and relax dear and i will bring it right out." Bonnie says.

"Can i help? My mom and Johnny have been taking the doctors orders to take it easy to an extreme and I really don't want to be a burden" I tell her.

She lets out a sweet laugh and says "ah of course you can. JOhnny and your mom are just being overly cautious so you dont tear your stitches" she says as she giggles.

The three of us women our some coffee and bond over making lunch. I slice up a left over grilled chicken breast and toss it in a skillet with some olive oil. Bonnie grabs three plates out of the cupboard and my mom grabs me out lettuce, fresh spinach, cucumbers and an onion.I smile at her and and ask her how she knew those are my favorite ingredients for a salad.

"Im mom i just know". She laughs.

As i start slicing the cucumber i hear "why didn't you tell me you were hungry through mind link babe? I would have come got your lunch. You are supposed to be resting and taking it easy." I let out a sigh and his mom beats me to telling him im fine.

"Johnny son. A salad is as easy as it gets in the kitchen. I didn't let her lift her arms to grab the plates nor did she bend to get the skillet out. I'm not letting her do anything to tear her stitches she is fine."

"Would you like one' I ask him while batting my eyelashes at him. HIs stomach growls and I fill all four plates with a layer of lettuce and spinach. Then i lay down the cucumber slices on all four plates. I lay sliced tomato on three of them then the onions. I take and add a little garlic,, rosemary, and soul food seasoning to the now browned chicken slices. I add the chicken to the salads and throw some crutons on top and grab some honey mustard dressing to drizzle over the top.

Johnny carries our plates to the table set them down and pulls my chair out for me. I kiss hi on the cheek and sit down. His mom takes a bite of her lunch and looks at Johnny and says "you got yourself one hell of a cook son". I feel my cheeks turn red. My mom eats hers and says "Lucy you are going to have to stop cooking. The pack members are going to get fat". I had a mouth full of mountain frost that came out my nose. As i start coughing trying to catch my breath from my pop going down wrong and coming out my nose I see the panic on Johnny's face. That just made me cough worse because I had to fight back laughter. My mom is rubbing and patting my back as I finally catch my breath.

"Are you ok? You just scared the living day lights out of me!" Johnny says while squeezing my hand.

"Yes im fi..." I was cut off by a blood curdling scream coming from the lower level. MY heart sinks as I run from the kitchen. The voice that screamed is Chloe. I race down the stairs through the heavy steal door in a panic. Johnny and our moms are on my heels. And Johnny runs smack into the back of me as I came to a sudden halt. Chloe's face is blue as she's being held face through the bars with a hand around her throat. My father is is in the cell growling and I notice his eyes are solid black and he's growling.

Keith tightens his hand around Chloe's throat. "Let her go Keith" my dad uses his alpha command.

"Not a f*****g chance Damen. Your command doesn't work on me. What was it you said to me Lucy. Ah yes im a useless lonely pack less mutt. Chloe is my ticket pout of here. I'm crossing over off pack lands her by my side or she dies."

I see Chloe begging me to help her in her eyes. "She's not whose going to help you get off pack lands. Nobody knows her here they have no reason to not let you kill her. LEt her go and i will walk you across the line myself" I tell him. The distraction works. He loosens his grip and my dad takes the opportunity to take him down. ONce his hand his free of Chloe's neck she falls and shes falling fast. In a split second i was catching her head just before it hit the floor. She's unconscious as I go to lift her up I feel a sharp burning sensation in my side. I wince and ask for help carrying her to the emergency ward.

"Why would u lift her Lucy" Johnny asks.

"I wasnt thinking. She needs help Johnny. For sixteen years she was my best friend and I may be mad at her but i am scared. Please don't lecture me for the instinctual action of trying to help her..

He lays Chloe on the hospital bed and Dr. Jamie comes in. I see her face turn to sheer panic as she looks at Chloe. I finally really see Chloe. My vision is clear now and I'm not panicking. I'm trying to calm the room. i see dark purple bruising around the front of her neck and notice shes hardly breathing on her own. "Please tell me shes going to be okay doctor." I say.

Jamie slides a tune down Chloe's throat as Keith nearly collapsed her wind pipe. i see blood filing Chloe's mouth and dripping from her nose. Jamie says the breathing tube is just irritating and already irritated airway. ONce the tubes in and breathing for Chloe i notice the emotion on the doctors face as she sits next to Chloe on the bed. She gently pushes a loose strand of auburn hair from Chloe's face. It finally smacks me in the face like it couldn't be any more obvious.

"She's your mate isn't she." Johnny asks as i rest my hand on her shoulder trying to comfort her.

"Yes she is the wolf in me told me as soon as i saw her. Jamie says. "This isn't how i thought I'd find my mate"

"The moon goddess works in mysterious ways" I say as i giggle. "Wait i don't smell your wolf and Chloe isn't a full wolf either. I thought only wolves had mates" I say confused

"I'm what they call a healer. I'm half were and half fae. MY father was a were and my mom is a fae.I'm a part of both, as is this gorgeous red headed girl that is my mate" she says. "She is part witch part wolf.'

"A fae and a witch make a powerful couple and it will be a good asset here to the pack" Johnny says.

"Johnny I dont want her here. Not yet anyways. She hurt me and i can't bare being with her everyday as if nothing happened" I say hopeful he understands.

"She can stay with me in my house Jamie" says/ Now that Keith knows she's here and he tried to kill her already for his freedom and you having stopped him the way you did its not safe for her not to be here" she says.

"I understand why you feel the way you do baby. But, Jamie is right. YOu may not be her sister by blood but you were friends. Always my sister forever my friend" he says. That's when i see she still has her necklace on. "You saved her today your not as mad as you think you are Lucy'". I feel the tears as the begin to fall and memories of Chloe and i fill my mind. Sixteen years of laughter and love and bonding. I climb up onto her bed and lay my head on her shoulder. "Please fight hard Chloe. I need you in my life." I say before climbing down and heading to my room with Johnny. We walk in silence heading to our room as my our parents come into view in front of us. My parents come up to me and my mom wraps me in a comforting hug.

"Did you kill him" i ask.

" No but i should have" my dad says. "it's time we sit down and talk Lucy' my dad says.

I tell Johnny ill find him once were done. The three of us head to Alpha Clyde's office to talk privately. My nerves are through the roof. It's at this moment i know my questions will have answers and I'll finally know who I am, what happened and where my family has been
