She wakes up panting and sweating, looks around and discovers she is in her room.
The sun was peaking in from the closed curtains, giving a misty like mood to the place, it's been a while since this room is hers, but she never felt at home in it, she tried to make it more to her taste, but the enormous amount of windows in it did not help, although she had installed dark curtains to diminish the amount of light entering, the room was still very lite. As for the furniture it was very simple yet very majestic, it was all made of very dark wood and green velvet tissue. A very large canopy bed with white creamy sheets and light green velvety curtains. This was the first time she looked around that room that she has been using for almost 4 years now...
Stretching lazily between the sheets she decides suddenly that this place makes her feel safe. She remembers when she first came here.
She opened her eyes to a strange room, still dizzy, she felt blinded by the amount of light coming in from those windows, trying to get up, she feels her body not responding, suddenly a breeze of air comes in from the nearest window, and makes a white small feather fly before her, panicked she tries to sit in that bed to find that she is completely naked with bandages all over her body, suddenly all the pain of the world strikes her, and a scream of agony comes out of her mouth before she faints, they have cut off her wings...
Remembering this will not help her, she decided. She now is another person, she jumps out of bed all naked, that's the only habit she kept from her other life, she moves towards the window, removes the curtains and opens the window, the sun comes in with full power, lighting her beautiful curvy body, she stands there looking at the view, "the perfect place for you to recover" her savior told her when she saw this view for the first time, yes this place was breathtaking. The tower stands alone on a high cliff, surrounded by waterfalls and beautiful green trees that touch the sky. "No one will ever be able to reach you here..." She was safe here, and she kept coming here whenever she had something important to think about.
The recent events made her come back here to think about what she should do. And her decision was made.
Before she goes she wanted to do one more thing.
Running outside naked was a thing she could allow herself to do here... Forgetting all her troubles she decides to go sink herself for a while under the waterfall...
She gets under the waterfall and the cold water bites into her skin leaving her breathless... The best feeling she had in quiet sometime now, she stood there under the water all naked and eyes closed...
Those dark eyes still haunt her and she can feel them inspecting every inch of her naked skin, opening her eyes carefully, she already knows he is here.
He was there in mid-air with his black wings and dark eyes, looking at her with a sarcastic half smile. Her heart skips a beat when she hears his deep low pitched voice.
"Come out of this place Val, we need to talk..."
She suddenly becomes aware of what is happening, and decides to play with fire.
"Come down and we'll talk" she answers looking him straight in the eyes
"You know that I won't step on another man's territory... Come out Val, I will be waiting for you on the red hill."
And he flies away leaving her.
