W-what?” I stuttered, earning a questioning glance from Zach.
“They called me and told me they were here on the campus and were wondering where you are. And they were sure you were here.”
“But... how did they know?”
“I don't know! Now can you please come here before they see me and kill me for lying to them? I told them to wait in the dormitory building's coffee shop.”
“I can't leave Zach right now!”
“Zach's in the hospital!? What's wrong!?”
“Nothing important.” I lied.
“It's okay if you want to go.” Said Zach, but I shook my head.
“I'll call you back later.” I told Lauren and hung up the phone. “I can't leave you like this.”
“I'm going to fall asleep eventually because of these painkillers.” He said. “Just go. It seems really urgent.”
