Mrs Chuka clearly heard her husband and she stares to him in annoyance, as she has always known that he secretly admires Amara too.
"What's your business with Amara, if she brings in a newly married man or not to our compound? Is she the first to bring in people's husband?" Mrs Chuka questions out, and subtly throwing shades at Lady Uloma, whom stares back at her with narrow eyes, but Mr Mark ignores his wife as he keeps pacing up and down in the passage, and not wanting to believe that Amara, that he has known to be as a decent lady, wants to start hosting married men too like Lady Uloma.
And Lady Uloma gets mad at Mrs Chuka, and making Mr Mark to face her, as their other neighbors are less concern about their argument.
