Two Sides of the Same Fire

Mila’s POV “Tell me,” he commanded, his voice low, dangerous, vibrating through the air. My throat tightened, my pulse racing, but I could not find the words. Every part of me wanted to answer him, to confess the ache I could not name, but my body froze, caught between fear and need. I waited, my breath shallow, anticipation pooling between my legs. Every subtle shift of his body sent electric currents through me. I could feel the heat radiating off him, each movement measured, predatory, and designed to make me ache for more. His silver-grey eyes fell to my parted lips. I wanted to close them with mine, to bite them and stop the fire, but he could see it, sense it. My need was obvious, raw, and it only seemed to excite him. His fingers brushed over the exposed skin beneath my dress, light, deliberate touches that made me shiver, every nerve ending on fire. My body responded instinctively. I arched into him, pressing my chest against his solid torso, feeling the taut muscles of his abs through his fabric. Every breath I took felt shallow, every heartbeat a drum in my ears. He moved with a fluid, predatory grace, grabbing my wrists and raising them above my head with effortless strength. His other hand slipped under my thigh, lifting me slightly and closing the gap between us until his heat pressed fully against mine. I could feel the solid weight of him, the raw power, and I trembled, caught between terror and desire. His fingers did not stop exploring. Each brush against my skin, every caress, sent sparks through me. My pulse throbbed in time with his touch, and I was helpless, trembling as I slid into a spiralling abyss of lust. My body was alive with him, every inch of me aching for what I could not yet have. Then his lips were on my neck, urgent and possessive, biting and sucking in a way that made me gasp. The ache between my legs twisted tighter, and I moaned softly, hands tangling in his hair, pulling him closer, begging for more without words. His name escaped my lips in a whisper, and it seemed to ignite something dark and wild inside him. But just as suddenly, he pulled away. The cold air that replaced his heat made my skin ache with need. Confusion and frustration collided inside me. I reached for him, desperate, but he flinched and retreated. His eyes were stormy, a battle raging inside, and I could see it, the internal struggle between restraint and desire. Finally, when we got out of the elevator, he softened, though his gaze retained a cold edge, as if warning me not to make him do this again. “Go and get some sleep, Miss Brown,” he muttered, his voice distant, restrained. He turned and left, slamming his door behind him. The sound echoed through my chest, leaving me hollow yet ablaze, consumed with the memory of every touch, every brush of lips, every heated look. I sank onto the bed, hands roaming over the marks he had left, the delicate bites and bruising kisses. A small, involuntary smile tugged at my lips. My mind replayed it all, again and again, and the ache in my body only intensified. Sleep was impossible, and I knew it. His presence lingered in my senses, a memory I could not shake, a craving I could not deny. Angel’s POV Rage coiled in my chest, raw and uncontrolled, when I saw Armando’s hands on her. It was instinct, primitive and possessive, and every nerve in my body reacted. She belonged to me, and no one else had the right to touch her. Her lips parted, and my body responded instantly. Desire, hunger, the need to claim her surged through me. She had disobeyed me, and that defiance stirred something darker, something feral and overwhelming. I had to show her the consequences of crossing me. I backed her into the wall, closing the gap until she could feel the heat of my body, the strength and power pressing into her. My eyes searched hers, but she would not meet them. That refusal drove me further, igniting something dangerous inside me. “Look at me,” I demanded, my voice rough, edged with need. Hesitation flickered across her face, but she eventually obeyed. Fear shone in her eyes, but there was also defiance, curiosity, and a pull that made my control slip. “You know I hate it when you do not look me in the eyes,” I growled, letting my fingers trace the line of her cheek. She shivered under my touch, lips trembling as I leaned in, brushing against her ear. “You disobeyed me, Miss Brown,” I whispered, my teeth grazing the soft skin of her neck. My lips pressed, sucking and biting in a possessive claim. Her hands gripped my hair, pulling me closer as she moaned, her voice a sweet surrender that made me lose control. Every instinct screamed to take her, to claim her fully, but I pulled back. I could not. I was her boss, her superior. The line was clear. Desire raged inside me, consuming me, and yet I had to restrain myself. “Get some sleep,” I ordered, voice cold, distant, but the heat lingered in the air between us, heavy and charged with what had passed. I could not trust myself with her, not when the fire between us was this strong. Mila’s POV If I were honest, I was haunted by him. His touch, his lips, the commanding way he made me feel, burned through my memory. Every inch of me longed for it again, for him, for the intoxicating pull of his presence. Morning came, and I awoke with his face imprinted in my mind, lips pressed to my neck, fingers trailing over my skin. I could not allow myself to indulge, to linger in that dangerous longing. He was my boss. He could not feel the same way, I told myself, though my body betrayed me with a shiver. But breakfast changed everything. My pulse skipped at the sight of him. That fleeting smile, just the corner of his mouth lifting, made me ache in ways I could not name. I wanted to reach for him, touch him, beg for more, but my hands remained at my sides. “Miss Brown,” he said, flat, commanding, without meeting my eyes. “Pack your things. We are leaving today.” The words twisted my stomach into knots, but I obeyed, hands trembling as I gathered my belongings. Every brush of my fingers against my bag made me think of the way his hands had roamed me the night before, and I bit my lip to keep from shivering. Back at the hotel, silence hung between us, heavy and suffocating. When we returned to the city, he dismissed me without a word, avoiding my gaze completely. The memory of last night burned in my chest, a fire I could not extinguish. That night, I could not sleep. I lay in the dark, body aching, mind racing, replaying every touch, every whispered word, every look. My stomach tightened; my skin flushed at the memory of his proximity. “f**k him for making me feel this way,” I whispered into the darkness. My body longed for him, my mind spinning with desire I could not admit. I was already in too deep. My heart knew it. My body betrayed me. I could not resist, even if I wanted to.
