Chapter 2It was a night of drama and tears. I learned things about Hailey I’d never known and not just about her relationship with Kelly, but the abusive assaults of her own father. He’d never been charged with s****l assault but in my opinion he should have been jailed along with his wife who’d let it go on without saying a word until it became obvious to all. The only reason she hadn’t been made a ward of the state was because her social worker was one of the new breed breathing new life into a broken system of institutionalised incarceration.
