Chow Ling sat alone. His head back, his eyes closed, deep in thought. There was a soft knock at the door. A young woman entered with a tray, which held an ornate teapot and two matching cups. She placed the tray on the table, bowed to Chow Ling, and left the room. Chow Ling had not moved nor opened his eyes. It had been two days since the shooting, and San Francisco was still in an uproar. Chinatown was flooded with police. According to the headlines, there was a call for reform.
