There are always some members of Parliament who, for a regular retainer which is sometimes surprisingly low, are prepared to advise big businesses on matters of government and sometimes to ask questions on their behalf. They are not popular with their colleagues who regard them with the same distaste that doctors feel towards those of their profession who specialize in the imagined ailments of wealthy women.
