I’d been so ecstatic to spend some more time with Seth, that I didn’t even think about the fact I had so little money left until we’d walked inside the diner. Margorie was working again, and I gave her a quick wave as Seth led us to the end booth where I’d sat before. He ushered me in first, and I secretly hoped he would join me on my side of the table.
