“Thank you so much, Margorie,” I said as I hugged the woman who’d shown me so much kindness. “I really appreciate you letting me pick up some shifts this past month.”
Margorie smiled and set her apron on the counter. “Eden, believe me when I tell you that I wish you and Seth weren’t leaving town. You’ve been the best server I’ve hired in the past ten years.”
