Chapter 6

“Ouch!” Ten shouted as Tyrone slap his face. “On his part Mr. Ten?” hinampas ulit ni Tyrone ang braso ni Ten ng sobrang lakas at umaray ulit ito sa ginawa ni Tyrone.

“Check, do you have any nightmares Mr. Ten?” Ten’s expression already disagree and Tyrone just nod to him, he left a heavy breath as the last test will be difficult for him. “Mr. Ten I’m so sorry but the last test is the pleasure test for you to confirm your senses are normal,” that awkward moment na di makuhang tingnan ni Tyrone si Ten at di manlang si Ten maka pagsalita sa sinasabi ni Tyrone sa kanya.

“Go for it” a cold voice just comes out from the mouth of Ten. Napalunok nalang si Tyrone at lumapit kay Ten, nilagay niya ang kanyang kamay sa legs ni Ten at sinimulang himasin. Kahit nananayo ang balahibo ni Tyrone sa kanyang ginagawa iniisip nalang niya na ito ay ang kanyang trabaho para I-monitor si Ten.

“Do you feel something?” asked by Tyrone “Uhm” Ten replied from his dry throat. Tyrone sighed and checked the last test. “My thesis was effective for curing the C.I.P of yours, but we can’t rest assure that your disease will be cured forever” Ten stands up at naglakad paalis ng kwarto, dali-dali namang sumunod si Tyrone papunta sa opisina ni Ten.

“Congenital Analgasia patients like you cannot live that long as long as you still have that abnormal disease. Pero ngayon normal kana ulit master Ten.” Tyrone smiled and likewise Ten do the same before he uttered some words.

“Tyrone”

“Y-Yes Mr. Ten” Tyrone stuttered when answering to Ten. “Let’s go to BGW today, I will check if the university is doing well” Tyrone just agree to go with Ten to the BGW university, habang nasa daan ay Tyrone keeps on reminiscing on that nostalgic moment na kailangan nilang pumasok sa boring na klase ng kanilang mga professor para lang makuha ang kanilang diploma.

“5 years was a tough one to wait for this moment, I had my amnesia but my heart will not forget that person who makes my heart flutter.” Tyrone was a bit moved from what did Ten just said. “Krist was a different person from his family, but I never expected that he was only an adopted Son of the De Vera.”

Bumaba na silang dalawa at naglakad sa pathway ng school. For the last 5 years the university stops operating because of Ten, only Ten can give orders when he will open the university again. “I want to open this university again and make the most useful weapons for our generations,” nagulat si Tyrone sa mga sinasabi ni Ten at napa-isip na bumabalik na talaga ang dating Ten na kanilang nakilala. Isang malupit, walang-awa at hindi marunong magtiwala sa mga taong malapit sa kanya.

“What I see is a different Ten from the previous years, you’ve changed a lot Mr. Ten. Truly love can change a person’s heart no matter what.” Ten smiled at Tyrone at naglakad papunta sa ground zero ng school.

Many years had passed but the chills on Tyrone’s spine shivers up to his soul. He keeps on hearing the voices of the students being punished on this zero-based playground of Ten. “My body was aching for pain but thanks to you, I can now live a normal life” dumampot ng alikabok si Ten mula sa lupa at hinayaang malaglag sa kanyang malalambot na kamay.

Many years ago, he don’t even want to make a cemented road up to the ground zero just to test himself of his disease is slowly leaving him alone.

Pero sa mga taong yun, walang natitirang pag-asa kay Ten dahil na rin walang lunas ito. Salamat sa matalino at loyal nitong blue na si Tyrone at sa tulong na rin ng mga eksperto nagamot siya.

“I really want to test if I could live a normal life now” hinatak ni Ten si Tyrone sa gitna ng ground zero at biglang nanayo lahat ng balahibo ni Tyrone sa katawan niya. “T-Ten w-w-what are you doing?” parang mahihimatay si Tyrone sa takot sa ginagawa ni Ten. “Test me right now,” hinubad ni Ten ang kanyang napagandang damit at tumambad ang kanyang mapaka gandang katawan naa ubod ng puti at kinis.

“Ryan and Seven is now gone for a while but I want you to know that I will have a consequence for Seven,” hinubad ni Tyrone ang kanyang salamin at damit, binali-bali ang kanyang leeg while he keeps on warming up his body.

“That’s Tyrone that I knew before,” I cannot forgive you this time Ten. Tyrone has a big muscular body na kahit si Nikki at na-aatract sa kanya. “Your rank has been second to mine since Seven is absent for his position, show me the real you, Tyrone”

Sumukob si Ten ng isang malakas na suntok na agad namang na pigilan ni Tyrone na tumama sa kanyang mukha, Ten keeps on throwing punches to him but Tyrone is keeping on defensing himself from Ten. All these years the skills of master Ten boldly grew as he expected.

“Your skills become rusty Mr. Ten, your foot opening is too wide” sabay tabig sa paa ni Ten at umiwas ulit sa suntok na binabato nito. “Your movements are now stiff!” tinabig ni Tyrone ang kamay ni Ten at hinawakan ang isa niyang kamay para harangin ang suntok.

“Grrr” nang gigil si Ten sa ginagawa ni Tyrone at natigilan ang dalawa. “You know what makes a great leader?” biglang nawala sa focus si Tyrone at sa ilang iglap lang ay natumba ito sa lupa dahil sa pag bigwas ng paa ni Ten.

“Ahh!” he keeps on pushing Ten away from his attacks. “I may have rusty skills now but your attitude of distracting easily will bring the hell out of you!” tumigil na din si Ten sa kaka-atake kay Tyrone at tinulungan itong bumangon mula sa lupa.

THEY both clean themselves from the dust all over their body. “I will go to Mr. David”

“Okay Mr. Ten” habang papalakad sa opisina ni Mr. David ay kinukutuban si Tyrone sa pagkikita ng dalawa. Sa pagbukas ng pintuan ay tumambad agad ang nasorpresang mukha ni Mr. David sa pagka kita kay Ten.

“Ten, ang tagal nating di nagkita ah, you both can sit down” umupo ang dalawa at parang umiiba ang timpla ng mukha ni Ten. Di mapakali si Tyrone sa kanyang nararamdaman at biglang tumayo si Ten mula sa kanyang pagkaka upo.

“Bring that s**t to me and we will face each other at ground zero” parang di makahinga si Tyrone sa kanyang naririnig at ganun na din si Mr. David. Biglang tumahimik ang opisina ni Mr. David at sa ilang saglit lang ay tumawa si Mr. David ng sobrang lakas at tumingin ng diretsyo sa mukha ni Ten.

“I am waiting for this day that the Ten I know 5 years ago will comeback” tumayo si Mr. David at pinagpag ang ilang natitirang alikabok sa damit ni Ten. “I heard the news that you will find Krist all over the Panay Island, what a brilliant plan of yours. Did you ever brainstorm yourself that if Krist is totally alive will he still stay on this island? There are so many infinite possibilities in this world Ten”

Mr. David has a point on what he is talking about sambit ni Tyrone sa kanyang isipan.

“Listen to this” Ten gets a bugging device from his pocket at pinindot ang play button.

“That man looked so depress and I know his family was so sad but I need to do it to bring Ten back to life, a single life from the lowlife people of this land will not cause harm but TEN will die it is the end of EVERYTHIN—“

Ten shuts the device at napa-isip si Mr. David sa ibig sabihin ng boses ni Seven, “this is the voice of Seven right?” tanong ni Ten kay Mr. David.

“Yes it is the voice of Seven, you really come back to your old self Ten. I am afraid that I will not see a smiling Ten from now, time flies so fast” Mr. David goes to his seat and looked on the window. “This vast land of Crayson will be lonely if you will not have any successor right? Does your love for a man will bring a baby for you?”

Biglang tumahimik ang dalawa sa binitawang salita ni Mr. David, napalunok si Ten sa kanyang naririnig at ganun na din si Tyrone. “5 years ago I am the witness from your extraordinary love for each other but Son listen to me, you are now on the middle of 20’s, fighting for a love without an assurance will bring danger to the both of you” the words from Mr. David pierce to the soul of Ten at this moment.

“The world is so big there are a little chance to find him. Nikki was there for you all of the years you are not your real self-Ten. I am worried that this land will be going to waste because of your negligence to your identity and man on your nature” Di maka sagot si Ten sa mga binabato sa kanya ni Mr. David at ganun na din si Tyrone sa mga panahong ito.

“You can change my mind but my heart will never” a simple words coming out from his mouth makes Tyrone’s heart flutter so hard. Ten you are changing a lot, welcome back Tyrone had a poker face to hide his true emotion right now but when he heard that words his heart want to jump inside his beefy chest.

“When you are born to this world Ten, I already know that you will bring pride and honor to our family but what is your decision I will respect it” Mr. David stands up and pat the head of Ten as sign of his agreement to his words.

Ten and Krist carries a different story, from a different family they both shared an everlasting love from each other. Through the crisis of their storyline they still have the courage to continue it even it doesn’t seem to have a chance. A week later of their conversation to Mr. David the team of Ryan started their operation to find Krist Quevedo all over the island of Panay. The news was all around the corner.

“Pwede ba tayong sumama sa kanila? Kahit jan lang sa sunod na municipality?” pangungulit ni Nate kay Tyrone sa opisina nito.

“We don’t still have orders coming from Ten, respect him instead” napa-isip ng paraan si Nate para mapa-oo si Tyrone sa pagsama kina Ryan.

“Sobra naman kasing nakaka-inip gusto ko nang makita si Krist ng personal, or I will go and find him too?” Nate was too desperate to see him again, but he is so afraid that somebody will know that Krist and him had an affair.

“Bakit gusto mong pumunta sa kabilang munisipalidad aber?” mataray na pagtanong ni Tyrone sa kanya di naman sa pagmama sunggit ni Tyrone pero gusto lang niyang magpahinga ng kaunti mula sa stress ng kanilang trabaho.

“It is not our work, and let us rest for some time please” Tyrone left a sighed and lay comfortably on the sofa at his office.

“I bet Ryan is so handsome on his civilian attire, I never seen Ryan so hot with his plain polo for so long” sa pinagsasabi ni Nate kay Tyrone ay namumula na ang kaniyang tenga.

“Manhid kaba?” na napigilan ni Tyrone at binatukan na niya si Nate ng sobrang lakas sa kaniyang ulo. “Ulol! I’m straight and I like girls so much tsk!” natawa nalang si Nate at biglang nag ring ang kaniyang cellphone.

“Hey your phone is ringing, are you still using that app again?” tanong ni Tyrone sa kaniya at di na umimik si Nate at pagbukas niya ng app ay isang pamilyar na mukha ang lumabas sa kanyang screen.

“Is that?” napatingin nalang sila sa isa’t isa at di maigalaw ni Nate ang kanyang kamay nang

“Ask for a picture” tapik ni Tyrone sa kanya.

“Can I see you face?”

“Why? It is not a surprise after all, I do meet-ups”

“Where?”

“On San Martin” San Martin is the next municipality from Crayson land

“Can I see your picture just even once?”

“Can I see yours?” Dali daling pinasa ni Nate ang kaniyang picture nan aka topless at merong salamin.

“Wait for a moment”

“Photo received”

“Where can I meet you?”

“On the café next to the plaza, see you”

Agad namang binuksan ni Nate ang sinend na litrato nito at laking gulat nilang dalawa ang tumambad sa kanila.

“No way, KRIST!”
