Hello grandma “ he said happily
“Uhm, Andrew this isn’t grandma “ a voice said from the phone. Andrew recognized the voice immediately. It’s Hayley , the woman grandma is staying with, who is a distant relative of hers.
“Where’s grandma?”
“Andrew, I didn’t want you to hear this from me but…….” She paused and gave out a deep breath.
“What happened to grandma?” Andrew asked nervously as he stared at Alfred who was also staring at him.
“She’s sick and has been admitted in the hospital“ she said
“How’s she now?” Andrew asked
“She’s okay, probably calling out for his grandson Alfred all the time” she said and Alfred felt his heart melt immediately.
“Grandma” he muttered softly and Andrew stared at him
“Fine then. I’ll come pick her” Andrew says and ends the call.
