The garden looked abandoned. Its green leaves had turned yellow although Dean had finished the irrigation system. He continued to water the plants until his best friend finished the phone application. But the plants needed Allie as much as Dean needed her.     He sat in the balcony, remembering her smile and the time his hands hid under his elbows because she made him nervous.
