first day

next day,

Friday morning six and thirty in the morning

"dring, dring" oh that's the alarm clock oh I just want to sleep, last night I talked with Madeleine and I haven't got enough sleep. 

I get up after a while and decide to go brush my teeth and decide what to wear.

 Well, it's the first day of school and I want to look nice after all I have the chance to start over and maybe make some friends. So I go inside my walk-in closet and start searching for what to wear, unfortunately, I only have one pair of jeans because I always wear sweatpants, sweatshirts or hoodies and I decided to change a bit. I am not saying I will start wearing crop tops and shorts every day but once in while I will, after all, no one knows me in this high school and I want to make a good first impression and maybe just maybe I start being more confident. 

So I find the only pair of jeans I own, they are light blue and high waisted I wear them and start searching with what I should pair it, after a few minutes I saw a plain white T-shirt and decided to wear that. I pair my outfit with my white Nike air force and leave my hair down because I had it up while I was sleeping. When I see myself in the mirror I am very surprised, my hair was beachy-wavy, and the outfit I had on made me look really nice so before going downstairs to eat I wear my favorite and actually my only perfume, it smelled like coconut and it is very nice. I look at myself at the mirror one last time and happy with the result I decide to go and grab something to eat from the kitchen and of course talk to my parents.

"Goodmorning guys" I told my parents. My mum was making me and my father some orange juice and my dad was eating some cornflakes.

"Good morning honey" my mum said to me

" Good morning princess" my dad said 

I went and drunk the orange juice my mum had just prepared and thank her "thanks for the juice" 

"your welcome Emma aren't you going to eat something?" "I don't feel really hungry" I responded and then added " okay sure I will eat a donut" when I saw her face. She hates it when I skip a meal. As I said it she looked at me happy and gave me a donut. I started eating and then my mum said "Honey you know we love you and all we want is the best for you right?" I looked at her while smiling "yes, of course, I know" "good" and then added "me and your father both recognize the effort you have put in school" "well I wanted to talk to you about this" I started "why? what happened?" my dad asked confused and concerned at the same time. This is it, it's now or never I told myself "Well as you can see I am straight A's student and I have never gotten a C in my life. I've always stayed in the house and never went out and that was the reason I never had any friends. The only friend I have is Madeleine and fine she goes to parties and has dated guys before but she is a really nice girl and her grades aren't bad either" I said and both my parents looked at me and paid attention to what I was saying "Yes you aren't lying about that, she isn't a terrible student and her parents are really nice" my mum admitted "YES!! that is exactly what I am saying most of her grades are B's and A's and this year she said she wanted to try harder and improve her grades" I said "well that's good for her" my dad said and my mum agreed and then she added "but she has had many relationships before" my mum pointed out "so what??" I said and then added "you both have said if I want to start dating I should do it her parents don't have a problem " I said and my dad responded "well yes but as soon as you turn sixteen" he said "I am almost sixteen dad" I said " no you aren't, you will be sixteen in august and it's September you have 11 months" he said "fine! whatever but her parents don't have a problem why do you have?" I said "well you are right" my mum said and my father agreed and then added "fine then if you promise to keep your grades up then we don't have a problem with you hanging out with her and whoever else you want to" "really?? thank you thank you" I hugged my mum and then kissed my dad. "oh guys em yesterday me and Mad decided to go shopping because I need a change of garderobe" I said hesitating "oh really? that's the best idea Madeleine ever had" she said excited  "really?" I asked "yes, of course, finally, you will stop dressing up like a boy" my mum said happy "haha thank you mum" and then I added "but guys if we can't afford it I totally understand" "no no honey we can afford it since your dads boss has already paid us a lot of money and my new boss pays really good money. So you can buy anything you want and that includes makeup. You know you are beautiful the way you are but I would love to see you dressing up like a girl" my mum said "fine mum don't worry" I can't understand my parents some times they are really strict but want me to do more stuff, how am I supposed to do both? And then I remembered the party, how will I ask them something like this?

"Emm guys, I also wanted to ask you if I could maybe just maybe go to a party at Mad's house, her brother is hosting it, and maybe stay for the weekend there? no?? okay fine" I said disappointed 

And then my mum and dad looked at each other and started laughing "why are you laughing" I asked hesitantly and then my mum said "honey we didn't say no" and then my dad added "on the contrary, we think it's a good idea to socialize a little bit but I want you to promise us you will be careful and no matter what we want you to still be a good student alright?" "really?? you will let me go?" I said surprised and my mum said "if you promise to be careful and still be a good student you are allowed to go to as many parties as you want to but I don't want you to become like some girls in your age do you understand that?" "Yes, of course, I promise you!! Thank you so much guys!" and then I hugged and kissed both of them "okay well I have to leave now Madeleine is waiting for me I will see both of you when I come home after shopping, Mad is coming too so we can get ready for the party do you mind?"  "No honey we don't mind but me and your mother won't be here when you come home, we will be both at work" my dad said "oh okay so I will see you again on Monday?" I asked "yes Emma, we will miss you but have a good time, now you should be going you will be late at school" my mum said  "okay I love you guys" I said as I was walking away from them.

okay, this is it, I talked to my parents and now I am going to school with my best friend what could possibly go wrong. Okay, I have to stop talking to myself. 

"hey, Mad? I think this is a bad idea" I said in doubt 

"Why are you saying this? it's your first day at a new school, it's a fresh start, you can do this and I am here for you don't worry you've got this, we've got this!"

"hahahaha thanks for the pep talk Mad I really needed it now let's do this" I said confidently 

that's the spirit let's go in now" she said happy and surprised at the same time, I mean I don't blame her I am not that confident and I am really shy but this has to change and this is my chance.

As I walked in the schoolyard I saw many unfamiliar faces actually the only person I knew was Madeleine, I was really afraid and didn't know what to do and then Madeleine said "Don't worry I will introduce to everyone everything is going to be okay" she said to reassure me. I then took a deep breath and said "okay let's do this" 

She then guided me to a group of kids "hey guys" she said and then added "this is Emma my best friend I was talking to you about" and the said to me "this is Audrey, Ethan, Addison, and Layne" 

"Hi everyone it's nice to meet you" I said unsure 

"So you are the Emma we've heard so much about" Ethan said with a big smile 

"Haha" I said awkwardly

"oh don't mind him he is an asshole" Audrey said and everyone encluding me laughed

"Oh babe I love you to" he said amusingly and the kissed her

"oh you guys are together?" I asked and then everyone responded "Yep" 

"oh you guys are so cute, how long have you two been together if I may ask?"

"two years" Audrey said and then Ethan added" since we were thirteen soon we will be together three years" he said while looking at Audrey  

"Well guys as much as I enjoy seeing all of you getting along me and Em have to go to Davis' office" Madeleine said "Emm Mad? who is Davis?" I asked confused "oh Davis is our principle" Layne said "oh okay then we must get going thank you guys for your company I hope we see each other again" I said while smiling but deep inside I just hoped they liked me

"Are you crazy girl?? You are not getting rid of us so easily" Addison said while laughing

"Haha thank you guys you are the best" I said and meant every word I said, they seemed really nice and I already felt like I've known them since forever and then I added "I will see you all of you in a bit"

And then me and Mad left to find the principle's office

"Soo??? What do you think so far?" she asked me impatiently 

"Your friends seem very friendly and nice" I told her 

"Well from what I saw before they are not only my friends" she said to me 

"maybe but I am not so sure" I said and then heard some voices that interrupted me and then I saw the people responsible for the noise, four boys all very handsome "em Mad who are they?" I asked while whispering "Oh don't mind those assholes" she told me and said the word assholes really loud so they can hear us. And then they started approaching us, oh my God they will probably kill us what am I going to do, they seem like the kind of boys you shouldn't mess with and while I was panicking one of them said smirking "hi Daniel junior"  then Mad responded "Leo you have hit your head plenty times or are you just stupid? my name is Madeleine" "oh wildcat slow down fine I'll stop calling you like that" he said and then added "for one hour" I was just standing there and trying to understand what was going on and then the most handsome and at the same time scarier of all five spoke "will you all stop flirting with my sister or should I start kicking all of your asses?" he said aggressively and everyone stopped and then he saw me and winked at me I turned my face away irritated and then something I didn't expect happened   "hmm that's interesting" he said and then added "what's your name little one?" he said and everyone started laughing and Mad looked angry "Myy em name is em Emma" I said stuttering and then they laughed, even more, I felt confused and scared I didn't know what was happening and then Madeleine said "okay that is enough you have to leave I don't want to see any of you near my best friend did I make myself clear?" she said in a bossy tone and the five boys started leaving when Mad's brother said "It was nice to meet you little one I am Liam and I expect to see you at my party tonight" he said in playfully and I looked at him scared and confused and then all of a sudden a vein appeared at his forehead and he seemed really angry and came towards me and then said 

"look little one you may not know me yet but if you want us to get along I suggest you to not upset me so when I talk to you I want you to respond to me okay?" he said and I nodded frightened and then he clenched his fists came closer and lifted my chin "I want to hear an answer and not a gesture little one okay?" "Ye-ess-s" I said scared " hmm interesting, but you still haven't answered me about the party" he said arrogantly "I will be th-er-e" I said stuttering and then he left 

"hey Em are you okay? my brother and his friends can be difficult to get along with or even understand sometimes" she said concerned, probably because I was trembling with fear

"yeah yeah I am okay at least I think so anyway, lest go to the principles office." and then she told me everything about those five boys and now I am at Mr. Davis office but I am not paying any attention to him probably because I am thinking about everything Madeleine said.

You are probably are thinking what was that? well, let me take everything from the start and tell you everything I've learned for them. First of all, is Alex Jones, he is eighteen years old, he is 1.82m or 5.97ft he has blonde curly hair and blue eyes he is really cute and funny he acts like a child most of the time and he is the most innocent one but he is quite the player.

Then we have Jace Miller, he is nineteen years old, he had to repeat two times one class, he is 1.84m or 6.04ft he has brown hair and black eyes he is very muscly and also really intimidating he has a short temperature and he is always serious and of course, he is a player like all of his friends.

After him, we have Leo Carter, an eighteen years old boy, he is 1.89m or 6.02ft, he is blonde and has brown eyes he is a really sweet boy and a good student but you shouldn't upset him nor get on his bad side, he is into sports and he is a player just like his friends.

And last but not least we have the worst of them all, the devil himself, fine I am exaggerating but I am not wrong either, Liam Daniel my best friend's brother, he is 1.87m or 6.13ft, he has brown curly hair and green beautiful eyes he is really muscly and handsome, he is an average student and a really scary guy everyone is afraid of him and no one dares to defy him and of course he is a player and his self-esteem is really high since every girl is interested in him.

These four are best friends since everyone can remember. You know each school has a group of guy friends who are all hot, players, badboys and really scary and no one dares to cross them? well this guys are like that and I really don't want to associate with them, especially Liam, I mean yes he is really hot and handsome and has probably slept with the entire woman population but he is really annoying and cocky, he pretends like he owns the school and everyone in it. Well the old me, the shy girl I am trying not to be, would just let them have their way and wouldn't bother them but the new and improved me won't let them play with me and terrorize me.

"I hope your experience in our high school will be great miss Donelly"

" Thank you, Mr. Davis"

"And if you need anything my dear don't hesitate to come to my office"

" Thank you I appreciate it"

And with that, I left the principle's office. Outside the office, Madeleine was waiting for me.

"You know I could have gone to the class on my own." I said 

"Yeah and risk losing you on your first day. Yea not happening" she said while laughing 

And with that, we went to our class. We were in the same class and had the same subjects so I was really exciting.

As soon as I got in I introduced myself and sat next to Mad, and that was how the whole day passed. Most of the teachers liked me because I was a good student and didn't cause trouble.
