I had led Mr Stone away. I wanted to quickly get him away from Glenda. The man was smitten with her and it stirred my jealousy.
After discussing further with him, I came to the conclusion not to do business with him. If not for my brother Sam, I wasn't familiar with Mr Stone. But Sam had pitched a good deal from Mr Stone and after hearing it, I had to agree, it was indeed good business.
Regardless of the fact that it was good business, it wasn't good enough to lose my wife. And I wouldn't wait till the wedding was over before letting Sam know.
