Ben was back in the garage again when it hit him like a ton of bricks. You could just see the hamster wheel turning in his head faster than a race car.
He got an amazing idea. An idea that he thought would melt her heart. It was either dumb or smart. It was a leap of faith he was willing to take.
A speaker, but not just any speaker. A bluetooth speaker. A special bluetooth speaker. He got to work right away on building the speaker. It had taken him a day and a half to complete the speaker. He called his invention "Blue Greets".
This was no ordinary bluetooth speaker. When you turn it on, it automatically greets the person with what ever the gifter programmed it to say. So it being her birthday on the way. Ben thought of something to say, that wouldn't give him away, but a poem and a Happy Birthday.
The poem read "I ponder in the yard outside to myself, beneath a blue sky. I ponder alone. Such beauty I see from the corner of my eye. My breath is taken. I can't talk or even even say hi. Happy birthday Sasha".
He knew it might somehow give away who sent it, but he also knew she wouldn't think about her neighbor across the street. As she hardly ever looked his way.
The night passed, and it was now Sasha's birthday. All of Sasha's friends showed up at around 9AM. They all brought her a gift and gave them to her mom, as they proceeded to the back yard.
Before her mom closed the front door she spotted Ben motioning for her to wait. She waited for Ben as he ran across the street with his gift. He handed it to her mom and ask her to please keep it secret on who it's from. She told him that his secret was safe with her. Ben turned and went home with a big smile on his face.
The party was starting. There was gifts ,cookies, candies, and of course a birthday cake. Music filled the air of her and her girlfriend's favorite songs. They all sang happy birthday to Sasha and she blew out the candles. Before blowing out the candles she made a wish in her mind. To meet someone special and to fall in love.
They all had cake, drink soda, and stuffed themselves with all sorts of treats. Finally it came time to open gifts. They each handed her the gift they brought. She was so happy with everything she got, but yet one more gift remained on the table. Where could it had come from she thought to herself.
She quickly opened it ....To be continued
