We had seen it clearly—Callie wasn’t the same.
Not at all.
Her wolf had awakened, and while that was good news, it also worried us. Because it meant something had triggered it—and that something could only have been a severe emotional trauma or psychological shock.
So even though her awakening was obvious—undeniable—we decided to give her space. Let her talk to Lila for a while before she was ready to come back to us.
Go ahead. Go with her, I told Lila through our mental link. Try to calm her—but more importantly, help her start accepting what she is.
