Somebody to love

Chapter 3

Driving to the Mews Bridal in Notting Hill, walking in I see Mum and Lia sitting on the chairs as they wait for me. “Dad agreed. He said I could pay for the dress.”

Her face lights up, she means everything to me, ever since that bittersweet day, we have never been closer. When my family found out they flipped out, my brother threatened to kill him. When I announced that I got the investment they looked a bit happy and from then on I grew my company while juggling my business, life has not been easy, but now I feel that it is finally settling down.

As Mum and I wait for her to come out, I remember when Lia and I tried on mum’s dress while Adrian took pictures, looking back at that time I was so carefree.

Lia walks out wearing a dress that was very poofy and was a princess style dress that really didn’t suit her,” It looks really good, but I don’t think it suits your personality.”

As she looks at her self in the mirror she slowly and turns around, “Plus I think it is going to take Elijah forever to get that of you. That is not good for a wedding night now is it?“, giving her a playful look.

She hits me on the shoulder and passes by making me laugh, it has been way too long since I relaxed.

A few minutes later she walks out wearing this dress, it has a v-neck and a cut out at the waist, which is covered in lace that matches the one stitched loosely on the sleeves. It is exquisite with the satin which flows with a train at the back, tears form in my eyes when the last time I cried was?

During Titanic, that movie always makes me cry, but seeing Dahlia in the dress makes me so proud. I turn to look at my mom crying too, as sobs and a lot of laughter fill the room Lia says, ” I think this is the one.”

“I found a dress, that really didn’t take that long.“, looking slightly confused.

“Well, that is because you have an amazing sister, who knows exactly where to go.“, I say smirking smugly at causing my Mum to laugh.

“Yeah, whatever.“, she says and walks off.

As I pay for her dress she talks with Mum, it is then I realise I don’t have anybody in my life except my family and friends. I need to find somebody. Somebody to love.
