950 Words
En route Mrs. Johnson remembered she hadn't booked a flight so she decided to consult the driver if he knew anyone at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. Before she did, she removed her phone from her handbag. Her facial expression changed. She seemed to be lost. She couldn't find the phone in her bag. She checked around her and the bag seat. The driver didn't know what she was looking for. He concentrated on the wheel but she kept on rummaging around the seat. The driver was curious to learn of what might have gone wrong. She checked her bag again. "Huh!", she exclaimed She seemed to have found solace and the driver kept on glancing at her. She sighed forthwith she looked at her bag, and it was the same bag that distorted her reaction. He didn't want to interfere since he wasn't involved. She brought out her phone and the driver guessed it must be what she was searching for. Though he decided not to utter a word. She was already losing her composure when she couldn't find the phone. She saw a shop nearby the road she told the driver to wait so she could get a cold drink. She rarely drinks water while eating, it was a habit she had tried to instil in her children because she reckoned it helped the growth and development of the body. She might decided not to even drink any liquid after eating but it is necessary she did, but she could never be seen drinking while eating. She bought two drinks of water and gave one to the driver. The driver wasn't surprised by her kind gesture. The driver wished he could dismiss the fare from her, but the money wouldn't be paid in cash. "Thank you!", said the driver while collecting the drink from her. "Please, do you know anyone that can make ready a flight for me at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County airport, I will just send the money for booking?", she asked. It seemed the driver knew someone there. He was thinking of something though Mrs. Johnson was optimistic, she knew she would get a positive reply from him. The driver phone rang and he picked his phone while driving. Mrs. Johnson hijacked it from him and he understood forthwith. She couldn't let him get into another trouble. He almost forgot to stop at the zebra crossing while everything was going on. He looked around if any of the police were around. Her psyche was jiggling. She gave him the phone. He seemed to be trying some contact, not long when one picked his call. "You're at work right?", asked the taxi driver. "Yes, hope no problem?", said the receiver. "Not at all, I will send you a text now". "Ok" The driver gave his telephone to Mrs. Johnson and told him to send the necessary information to the last contact on his phone log. She sighed. She knew it would come out good. She received the phone and send the necessary information. Forthwith she finished, she asked the driver for the cost of her fare. The driver remembered she didn't order through the internet. He did as if he didn't hear him, but she was expecting a reply from him. The driver's telephone beeped and it was a message from the lady who works at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. It was a question as a result of the text sent by Mrs. Johnson. When she saw that it was the lady she took the phone forthwith and replied though she brought out a jotter, it seemed to be personal information required. She knew the driver was trying to deny the fare. She wasn't in support of that. They were about to arrive at the hospital when the driver saw the alert. He smiled and looked at the top mirror. Mrs. Johnson checked the fare on her phone and paid it. When the driver arrived at the hospital, Mrs. Johnson seemed to have take a nap. The driver waited for her a little. She seemed exhausted and still looking weary maybe because she slept late yesterday and she was rushed out of the inn in the morning. The driver tapped her shoulder and she startled. "Huh! We've arrived", she exclaimed. The driver nodded and she stepped out of the taxi. She was already walking down to the hospital entrance before she remembered that she wanted to tell the driver something. She signified with her hand for the driver to wait. "Please, you will still come to take me to the airport", she said. "No problem, Ma'am, Huh! Excuse me" He gave her a note concerning the message the lady from the airport sent. "Thanks", she retorted. She walked wearily and sleepy. She even yawned without covering her mouth, something she detested with passion. She seemed relieved not to meet any queue at the entrance of the hospital. She was verified to enter. She first went to the pew at the reception to have her seat. None of them could recognise her because her hair looked scattered. She brought out her mirror and arrange her hair. She went to meet one of the ladies at the reception. "Good Morning Ladies". "Huh!, Good morning ma", they chorused and were left stunned "The chief physician is in the office right?", she asked. "Yes, but a guest is with him", replied one of the receptionists. Mrs. Johnson decided to visit Aviva at her ward. The receptionists were surprised not to have discerned that she was the one. They talked about her humility and admired her a lot. They looked at her rear until she went up to the stair.
