We walked a little further before we reached a fairly modest house. I could actually say it was the most beautiful house in that part of the city. In a place where people barely survived, having a house like this was truly commendable. The woman opened the door and went in, afterwards, we all followed suit. The interior of the house was even more alluring than the house itself. There were velvet curtains lining the windows and the leather chairs spoke of eminence. There was a large painting of her and a man adorning the wall of the sitting room. At one side of the room was a book shelf. I glanced at the books and a particular one caught my attention. I moved towards the shelf to reach for it but yet again, she caught my arm. “Please don’t touch that.” She said and I took my hands away.
