The Hidden Love Chapter 1

I had an ex-girlfriend named Scarlet, a shy and stunning classmate who was also our class secretary. Despite her captivating eyes, gorgeous smile, and silky hair, Scarlet struggled with insecurities. Her vulnerability touched my heart, and I yearned to comfort her, reassure her of her beauty, and confess my lingering feelings. However, whenever I mustered the courage to approach her, I'd flee, unable to express my emotions.

Fortunately, Scarlet had a constant source of comfort in her best friend, Athena - a brilliant and lovely girl who was always by Scarlet's side, whether in the cafeteria, on the way to class, or after school. Athena's presence provided Scarlet with the reassurance and support she needed.

(On my way to my classroom I heard my classmates gossiping about Scarlet, so I asked my classmate who's also my best friend) His name is Ken

Ash: "Hey Ken, what's going on? What are they whispering about?”

Ken: "You haven't heard? There's a rumor going around…”

Ash: "What rumor?”

Ken: "Apparently, our class secretary might be transferring to another school. But it's not

confirmed yet.”

Ash: "(What???)... Why?.. Why would she be transferring?” (Is being in the same class making things awkward between us after our breakup?)

Ken: "No idea. Maybe Athena knows something. And supposedly, the transfer would happen next quarter."

(A lot of questions just suddenly appeared on my head. What? What is her reason, Why? Why would she transfer and lastly Where? Where school would she be transferring. I ask myself all those questions yet not one of them get answered, deep down, I knew the only way to find out was to ask her directly. Yet, I still lacked the courage to approach her and get the answers I desperately sought.”

(As the days turned into weeks, my questions remained unanswered. When the new quarter began, I found myself searching for her, only to discover that she had already left. My opportunity to ask her the questions that had been plaguing me had slipped away. Feeling frustrated and defeated, I retreated to my room, tormenting myself with the same questions: What happened? Why did she leave? And when did it all fall apart?)

Ash: WHAT!!! is the reason? and WHY??!! is it whenever I'd ask her I always lose all my courage!! WHEN!! will I have the courage to ask her? AM I REALLY THIS WEAK?!!!!

(Night after night, I'd break down in tears, unable to shake the thoughts of her from my mind. Her absence had become a constant reminder, and it was affecting my daily life - I found myself perpetually late to class, my mind preoccupied with memories of her))

(On the way to class)

[10mins Late]:

Ken: "Hey, what's going on? You're always late lately. What's wrong?"

Ash: "Nothing, don't worry about me." (smiling)

Ken: "No way, something's up. Tell me, we're friends, right?"

Ash: "Haha, you really know me, huh?"

Ken: "Of course! Is it about Scarlet?"

Ash: "So you already know?"

Ken: "Tell me!" (Ash shares everything)

Ash: "Haha, funny, right?"

Ken: "Looks like even a shameless guy like you can get embarrassed! Our psychology teacher was right – no matter how shameless we are, we still get embarrassed, especially in front of someone we love. Maybe you're still in love with her?"

Ash: "Maybe... I haven't been able to get her out of my head since she left. I miss her." (Athena, Scarlet's best friend, overhears the conversation)

Athena: "So, you still love her?" (approaching Ash)

Ash: "Uh, you're Scarlet's best friend..."

Athena: "Why didn't you tell her? Why didn't you ask her out? Why did you let the chance slip away?"

Ash: "Wait, what's with all these questions?"

Athena: "And now you're regretting it?" (smirking)

Ken: "Hey, hey, stop pressuring him!"

Ash: "Uhh... Wait, Athena!"

Athena: (laughing) "Haha, don't be so serious, I was just messing with you!"

Ash: "Ehhhh!!??"

Ken: "Haha!"

Athena: "So, you want to know which school she transferred to?"

Ash: "Wait, you know??"

Athena: "Of course, I'm her best friend."

Ash: (determined) "Tell me."

Athena: (smirking) "She goes to MCU now."

Ken: "MCU? That's not far from here."

Ash: (resolved) "I've decided. I'm going to MCU to tell her how I feel."

Ken: "Good luck, Ash! I'll go now."

Ash: "Okay, Ken. Bye."

(Athena walks away with a sad smile)
