When I saw it, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Descending majestically before me was an enormous dragon, its sheer size casting an imposing shadow across the ground. Its scales shimmered like polished obsidian, reflecting the moonlight with an otherworldly gleam. Two vast black wings unfurled from its back, each powerful beat creating a gale that rustled the nearby trees and sent dust swirling into the air. It landed with a thunderous impact between me and my pursuers, the ground trembling beneath its weight.
