/HANNAH’S POV/

I only had about four hours of sleep, or should I say I didn’t really sleep at all, the night seemed so long as I kept waking up time after time, the anxiety of what the day holds kept me up. I kept playing the whole plan in my head, adding my own what ifs and scenarios. When dawn was just about to set in, my phone rang with a call from Dele, I was terrified seeing his call at that time.

“My lady, hope you are set?” he asked immediately the call connected.

“I am still home, though I am already leaving”. I responded as I got down from the bed immediately and begin to hurry into some cloths.

“You should be here early to set out your plans…” he said as I got the notification for another call, I checked and it was Douglas.

“I will call you back…” I quickly said to Dele as I disconnected his call and received the one from Douglas.

“Hannah, the teams are ready and would be moving out in about thirty minutes” he declared.

“I will be there in fifteen….” I said holding the phone to my ear with my shoulder as I hastily put on a black skin tight jean.

“Better do lady.” He said in conclusion and disconnected the call.

Within a period of two minutes I was done wearing a my clothes consisting of a black sleeveless vest, more like a singlet actually, I rushed into the bathroom to have my mouth cleaned up because I wouldn’t want to risk both body odour and mouth odour all together. I rushed and grabbed my combat boots from the top of the wardrobe and headed straight to the door. I promised to get there in fifteen minutes, but I made it in ten minutes.

“All right guys let’s roll, let’s roll out…” The head of the assault team started calling out with loud hand claps, Douglas made a very brief pleasantries and urged the guys to all move to their respective vehicles.

“No briefs…?” I asked Douglas with surprise on my face as I sat at the edge of one of the truck tying my shoe lace.

“We already had the briefs before you came agent…” he responded, making me wonder if he had any sleep at home at all.

“I told you not to sleep too deep.” He added as if reading my thoughts.

“You will be moving out with captain James to the Chinese restaurant and station yourself at that spot where you will be able to have a visual on the club also, while I lead the other team to the dock.” He said giving me a summary of the part of the brief I don’t already know about.

“So who leads the team, I or captain?” I questioned as I strap on the bulletproof.

“It’s an assault Hannah, you call the brains he calls the shots, and moreover you will be leading half of the team to the restaurant while he takes the club.” He ambiguously answered my question. I was supposed to be the leader of the of the team obviously, but I have no experience or technical skills to do that, therefore his ambiguous response.

“We going to be a great team ma’am” the captain said to me stretching his hand for a handshake.

“I bet we would…” I confidently said, even though a child can notice the fright in me, I was not just shaking but was also sweating in the cool morning breeze.

“Just shake up yourself and watch my six” he said releasing my hand.

“Hannah…!” Douglas called out to me, I went close to him to hear him out.

“You move on my command, don’t let your anxiety decide for you, stay focus and stay sharp, I have the best team on your side, they are going to take good care of you.” He said to me, making me wonder if he was talking as a father or as a superior.

“Okay sir…” I said still having the shakes.

“It’s a covert operation, but we are going to celebrate in public.” He said and banged his right hand on the door indicating they can start moving. I got into the vehicle with my own team and we headed out also, five minutes into the journey, Dele called me again.

“My lady, hope you are already at the dock?” he asked.

“Almost…” I said to him not wanting to reveal to him that I won’t be at the dock, rather I will be at the other locations I discovered from the audio records he gave to me.

“Honestly my lady, you should rethink letting into your pants, I obviously fried these guys for you and served them to you at a platter.” He said.

“Dele… you should stop that, I said if you behaved well, but this behaviour of you insisting is not nice at all and it’s not what I can totally call well behaved” I pointed out to him, even though part of me was telling me to try him out, at least that will help me decide if what I have for kelvin is more than s*x.

“Alright my lady, I am sorry… please pardon my ill-mannered behaviour” he began to plead.

“Alright please can you let me do my job.” I questioned him.

“All the best my lady, although you don’t need that because I already served you the job.” He said again trying to insist on the point that he made the job easy.

“Okay Dele, you keep whining about your assistance in the job makes me sick.” I said to him making sure he hear my growing irritation. And the most annoying part was that I was already gaining the attention of other guys in the truck.

“Good bye Dele, I have got a job to do” I said to him and disconnected the call.

We got to the location and made sure we were not insight nor in a suspicious position, the wait for Douglas’s go was tiresome and seems like forever. The captain looked at me and said.

“Are you good agent?” he asked

“Honestly, I won’t lie, I am so very nervous right now”. I responded.

“no problem ma’am, you should be.” He said trying to pacify and encourage me.

“I heard this is going to be your first bust.” He mentioned

“Yes it is…” I affirmed following with a very hard swallow.

“We were all on our first” he said with a chuckle.

“So nothing to be ashamed of.” He added still having that smile in his face.

Hannah we can see the ship, and they are beginning to offload at the moment, we will be going in on them any moment so get set and ready to move.
