No longer Neutral

Rileys POV "You're not leaving my sight Mate. I don't trust that they'd let you come back to me once you go, so I'm going to accompany you for the rest of the afternoon" I could hear that asshole growling against her neck as he made that statement. Honestly he's completely right. If he left Stella alone, I would have dragged her off to the unground bunker. It's sound proofed, and scent proofed. Once in there no one would ever be able to find her. it blocks the scents of anyone inside, and it's location is only know to the Alpha family. I see as Stella goes to answer, but her eyes glaze over from talking with her Wolf. Andy said her wolf's name was Aurora, but she told him that they were leaving after my ceremony. I only know that because he bitched about it for almost an hour before he blocked me. I haven't heard from him since yesterday at breakfast when he whimpered seeing Stellas anger directed at me. "Alright you can tag along. BUT, I expect not one peep out of you! I may want to ditch the hell hole that is the bloodheart pack, but I still take pride in my work! Are we clear?" I want to growl out in frustration about her not leaving his side, but even I have to admit, it was amusing watching her threaten an Alpha twice her size. "Abundantly clear, precious." I can feel my blood boiling hearing him call her that. I watch as she turns on her heels and walks away. I can hear Alpha Solan chuckle lightly, his Beta close on her heels. However before he follows after her, he looks at me in disdain. "After the meeting tomorrow morning, we will be leaving. Stella goes with me. Try and harm her in any way before we leave, and I won't wait to pull out of our neutral contract. Clear?" I want to scream and tear his eyes out. But I can't. So I just nod silently, he smirks and walks away following quickly behind Stella and his Beta. I know that I'm just biding my time, until I can mark Stella as mine. At this rate, it's all I can do to keep her here... Solan's POV Stella was not joking when she said that she takes pride in her work. I can't honestly say that I blame her. Despite who the ceremony is for, she has made the house look incredible. She is going to be a fantastic Luna. The rest of the day passed by in a blur. Stella only had to tell Jason once to shut up. It was quite amusing, considering her small size, seeing my best friend and beta get reprimanded for being a distraction while she worked. As we watched the ceremony, Riley taking the oath to care for the ones who couldn't for themselves, and to safeguard all those who need protection, I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I am quite certain that everyone here knows that to Riley and his father, these are all just words. They mean nothing to them. Afterwards I watch Stella moving around gracefully as she caters to the guests at the party. I had to stop myself several times from clocking some of these assholes across the face while they hit on my mate. She handled herself very well though. I am amazed that no one has noticed she's an Alpha. ''Ro is helping her hide their Alpha aura. They were sure it wouldn't be safe to let it out, and I agree. Our mate is smart.'' Dei tells me. Well then, that's definitely clever. I honestly agree with it as well. As the party came to a close, Stella made her way towards me, and I couldn't help the smile that lit up my face. I reached my hand out and she took it willingly. "Stay with me tonight?" I asked her. Her eyes widened in shock, and she started stuttering. I couldn't help but find it the cutest thing. "I-I don't th-th-think tha-thats..." "I don't mean to complete the mating bond tonight." I cut her off "I just mean to cuddle, talk and really get to know eachother. I mean, tomorrow afternoon we're leaving here together to go to my pack, sooo..." Her eyes widened again, only this time in realization and embarrassment. Her cheeks turned a bright shade of pink and she started biting her bottom lip. It took everything in me to not pull her in for a kiss. I gave her hand a light squeeze and pulled her towards the pack house. I could see Riley staring and oh, if looks could kill. (The next morning) I opened my eyes, as the sun started shining, the tingles along my arms caught me off guard but then I looked and what I saw blew me away. Stella was still sleeping, and with the early morning rays her Auburn hair looked like liquid fire streaming from her head. Simply stunning... I pulled away from her gently and went to the bathroom to deal with my morning business. After a quick shower, I came back into the room and Stella was still sleeping. I couldn't bring myself to wake her so I settled on writing her a note instead. I lay the note on my pillow, kiss her forehead once and turn to leave. Suddenly tingles shoot up my arm from my wrist, I turn and see Stella smirking at me. "Where do you think you're sneaking off too?" I could see the mild concern flashing in her eyes, so I quickly confessed. "I have to go to the Alpha meeting this morning. I'm pulling put of the neutral contract my pack has with this one. I wasn't willing to wake you, you looked so peaceful." I watch as the blush creeps it's way onto her face. She turns to hide it behind a curtain of her hair. As I go to brush it back, she quickly looks at me, in a sudden panic. "What time is it?!" I point to the clock that on my side of the bed. "Around 6:30 am, why?" "s**t! Ooooh, I am so f*****g late! I'm supposed to start cooking around 4! f**k!" I watch helplessly as she starts pacing and ranting about how she's going to be in so much trouble, be denied food, AGAIN, and probably get beaten for missing breakfast. It takes everything in me to keep from shifting into Dei and ripping this pack apart. "Precious, relax. Please. You don't have to worry about anything like that, ever again. You're mine, remember?" I gently coax her to start relaxing into my arms. Finally after about an hour she takes a deep breath and let's out a sigh. "It's not safe here for me. It doesn't matter to them who my mate is." I only just catch her whispers. "Stella, stay here, lock the door, and wait for me to come back. Don't open the door for anyone, okay? After the meeting is done, Me, you and Jace are out of here. We'll even swing by a Tim Hortons for a late breakfast okay?" I see her nod at me slightly, and I can still feel her fear of the Alpha family's consequences for her not making their breakfast. I only hope that they haven't been starving her, but with what I've felt the last 24 hours, no such luck. After another quick kiss to her forehead, I'm out the door, I wait just outside as I hear the lock click. Good, now I just have to get through this meeting without killing anyone and we'll be set to leave. Jason's POV 'Meet me downstairs now. We need to be at the meeting in 15 minutes.' I hear Solan growl out in my head. I wonder what's got him all riled up? I glance at the clock on the stove in front of me and see that it's about 7:45. Whoever thought 8 am meetings were smart, are d***s. 'I'm in the kitchen man, and what's gotten you in such I fine mood this morning?' I know he can hear my sarcasm, but it's part of why he loves me. I call it as I see or hear it. I can feel his annoyance through the link, and I'm pretty sure I heard a light chuckle from the kitchen door way. I take a peek over my shoulder and see Solan standing there, arms crossed, trying to rein in his wolf. Now I'm really curious and definitely concerned. "What's got you riled up Solan?" I watch as he drags a hand down his face and the back of his neck, I want to help my best friend, but I have no idea what could be troubling him. Especially not this early in the day, Zoe doesn't even get to him this much. "It's Stella man, they've been starving and beating her for years! They expect her to wake up at 4 to start cooking breakfast for the house! She told me just last night, she usually only gets to bed around 12 am! They let her sleep for barely 4 hours a night! It took me almost an hour to get her to relax enough to agree to staying in my room because it's safer for her there!" I can feel myself just staring wide-eyed and slack-jawed. Not at his temper, but at the facts he just laid at my feet. I can only imagine how angry he truly is right now. I slowly stand and approach my friend and Alpha, trying to guage whether or not I need to remove him from the meeting roster. "Dude, if we're going to be in that meeting, you can't be this murderous. I know you're pissed, anyone with half a brain would be. But right now you've gotta put it aside to do what we originally came for." I watch as he rolls his head back and forth on his shoulders, I can hear some pops and hopefully some tension went with them. "You're right man, look, as soon as this meeting is over, get your s**t, and get the car ready. I'll be doing the same with Stella. I need to get her out of here." He looked so broken when he said that. I couldn't imagine what it would feel like. Finding your mate after years of searching, only to find her malnourished and abused. My Luna deserved better, and I know that Solan will make sure she gets it. We turn and head into the Alpha meeting. This is going to be a long couple of hours... Solan's POV I glance around the room and I can see 4 other Alphas and Betas not including myself and Jason, or that little t**t Riley. I can feel his gaze burning holes into me and I only ignore him. We sit down and start the meeting. A lot that needs to be discussed is territory lines, financial aid between packs, and of course, pack alliances and neutral contracts. After about 2 hours of the other Alphas going back and forth between eachother on everything else, we've finally come to the contracts of neutrality. "Alpha Ignis, you've been quite quiet throughout this meeting. What say you to the continuation of your contract of neutrality?" Alpha Rogers calls out to me. I can feel the smirk on my face grow knowing I'm about to pull the rug out from under a lot of these Alphas. I've helped a lot of them previously, and they tend to follow where I go, for fear that I could become the enemy. I look around the room and only Jace seems to be completely chill, I can feel Riley looking at me, and I can smell the fear. Losing the neutral contract with me means losing a lot of resources that help this pack thrive. "I say Nay. I refuse to continue the contract of neutrality. Especially after discovering the treatment of my Mate" I look around and the silence is deafening. Only Riley and Jace know about me and Stella, and I can feel the confusion and tension in the air. "Your mate?" Former Alpha Richard asks. "Yes. I found my Mate yesterday upon my arrival. When I came here I had intended only to pull from this contract and leave, but I met her, and now I am ready to take her home with me. So, if you'll excuse me gentlemen." I stood up with Jace and bowed slightly and we turned to leave. Just as my hand touched the door Richard spoke up again. "Who is your mate Alpha Solan? I was there when you arrived yesterday and you didn't meet anyone other than myself and my son." I could hear Jace scoff, and my hold on the door tightened. 'Wish I could teach this prick manners!' I hear Dei growl. Me too, I think to myself. I glance back over my shoulder as I turn back slightly. "Stella" That one word answer sent him spiraling. "She can't be your mate! She's my boys mate! They've already accepted each other as such, and plan to complete the bond tonight!" As soon as the words left his lips he slapped his hand over his mouth and Riley glared at him. I felt Jace put a hand on my shoulder I looked at him and he glanced at my hands. I looked down and realized I'd partially shifted. I hadn't even noticed. I force myself to regain my composure, thinking of my Stella. When I spoke, you could feel the chill in the air, and the venom in my voice made it clear to everyone, that I was not to be tested right now. "It's difficult to complete a mate bond with a mutually rejected mate isn't it?" as I spoke I could see the other Alphas looking between us and Riley in horror. "From what Stella tells me, she found out you were mates on her birthday 2 days ago. When she followed your scent to your room, you were in there screwing another she-wolf. When she went into your room you rejected each other. She wants nothing to so with you, or this pack. And just so we're clear; if your plan was to mate and mark her forcefully, know this, I will hurt, mame, and kill anyone who dares to harm my mate!" Rileys face was getting more and more red when I mentioned forcing himself on her, so I can only guess that was his plan. I go flying up the stairs to my room, I have to see Stella and hold her close. As I reached my door I could feel panic setting in. I stare at my room with the door completely open and I am frozen by fear. I can smell her, the Raspberry Lavender scent has barely begun to fade, so she just left. I take a deep breath and I'm automatically relieved. It's only her scent, so she wasn't taken. Looking around I try to figure out which way she went. I start following the trail of her scent and follow it up the stairs. This is the Alphas floor... I follow her scent along the hallway and find it leading to another open door, I peer inside and find yet another staircase going up. I head up and prepare to collect my mate and leave. I can see another floor just ahead and I'm instantly pissed. I can barely fit in here hunched over, this is more of a crawl space than a habitable floor or room for anyone! There in the middle of a makeshift bed of cloth, is my mate, silent tears streaming her face as she folds the few clothes she has. "Come along precious, we need to leave now. We are no longer neutral."
