Chapter 4

Ashley's POV

Lunch was over and we stood up going to our next classes I walked out of the cafeteria to my locker to get the next few periods book " Thank Goddess the day is over " I mumbled to myself, i was about to locker when I got the feeling someone was looking at me when I turned around and saw the new kid well as far as I remember Cassie said his name is Brent looking at me. I looked at him and frowned I still can't shake the feeling that I know him from somewhere but I can't seem to locate his face in my memory, ignoring the feeling and closing my locker I walked of to my next class still feeling him looking at me.

Only three more periods and the day is over and we'll be leaving for Cassie's pack for the long weekend, everyone packed their stuff last night even me and Cassie, Ivan made sure of it cause we're leaving after school.

I'm in my last class of the day before the day ends and our long weekend begins, lukly I'm sharing it with Cassie but damn she's making time go by so much slower cause she's starting at the clock against the class room wall " only 15 more minutes " Cassie said in my ear oh and did i mention she's literally counting down " come on Cassie your making the time go by slower " i said as i turned around " it's not my fault the damn time is taking it's time now is it?? " Cassie shot back before pouting " stop counting the minute and the time will move fasted " I said in duh tone.

And before we no it the bell rang making me and Cassie jump up running out of the class into the hall, I stuffed my bag with my books in the locker and ran out of the school straight to Cassie's car.

" So Ash are you ready for the time of your life?? " Ivan asked when I got outside " uh y-yeah i a-am ready " i stammered nervously " Oh come Ash there is nothing to be nervous about, we got you just relax!! " Marcus tapped my shoulder trying to assure me. I just looked down to the ground.

" We got you babe " Clare added in

" I'm sorry guys with everything I've been thru I just don't know what to expect " I said with a sad smile.

" We got you Ash nothing like will happen at my pack and not on my watch remember I'm the next Alpha " Marcus said reassuring and winked at me

" and I'm the future beta, so turn that frown up side down and relax a little " Ivan added with a lopsided grin.

" You hope so " Marcus said out of the blue and we all looked at him

" Huh what are you talking about Marcus?? " Ivan asked confused

" I mean you hope your my future beta " Marcus said hiding his smile, we all looked to a very shocked Ivan

" What do mean I hope so, Marcus you'll never get a better beta than me I'm f*****g awesome " Ivan stated mater of factly

" No you know there is Jason two " Marcus point at n grinning Jason

" Oh hell no Marcus you gotta be joking " Ivan started to panic and all of us bursted out laughing.

" All of you suck " Ivan said pouting

" Oh come on Ivan i have never heard you cry like a baby before " Jason said still laughing and whipping the tears of his eyes

" You guys are going to be the death of me one day i promise you!! " i said laughing. When we all finally sobered up, we decided that the guys go with Marcus's jeep and the girls go with Cassie we we're on our way to the car when I shouted " Shot gun " snd ran for the passenger seat " Aaahhh Ashley you suck " Clare sulked before getting in. I decided it's time to be me and shot back " Yeah and you swallow " Cassie and Clare made gagging noises " Yeah i know that's how you sound but please i didn't have to hear it " I said with a crinkled nose " God Ashley can you please cut with the profanity, my ears can only handle so much " Clare said disgusted.

When I bursted out laughing Cassie and Clare started laughing " What happened to the prim and proper Ashley " Cassie asked shocked, I just shrugged and stuck my tongue out.

We stop at a small dinner to get something to eat, being op the road for 2 hours of the four hour drive we talked so much and laughed so much when cassie parked the car I had to sprint for the nearest bathroom " I told you to pee before we left " Cassie shouted from behind me ignoring her I barged into the dinner " sorry where is the bathroom " I asked the lady behind the counter, she showed me the door i ran shouting " thank you " over my shoulder. By the time i relived myself and left the bathroom, everyone was inside on their way to a table. We all sat down and waited for the waiter " Ashley do you have a bladder the size of a pea " Ivan asked amused and everyone bursted out laughing again, I just flipped Ivan off and everyone laughed harder, when the waiter approached they sobered up.

" Oh my young Alpha good to see you " the middle aged lady smiled at Marcus and smiled at her " Good to see you to miss Monro "

" are you kids going home for the long weekend?? " the lady asked " yeah we are " Cassie said excited and clapping her fingers on the palm of her hands " That's good to know, the pack is not the same without you trouble makes " she said laughing " wait who is this pretty girl with you " she asked and looked at me " This is our new friend and my new room mate Ashley " Cassie said with her hands on my shoulders " a pretty name for a pretty girl " she smiled at me " so what are you kids eating today?? " she added with a smile. We all got double bacon and cheese burgers with fries and milkshakes. We chatted away laughing, teasing one another and laughed.

When we finished our lunch Jason paid after a long argument with me cause I wanted to pay, that was the least I could after everything thier doing for me but he wouldn't have it and I just rolled my eyes and gave up.

When we left the dinner we left for the car and me screaming " SHOT GUN!!! " again and Clare left stunned cause I beat her again I just stuck my tongue out and laughed, we got into the car and back on the road " Just twi hour and we'll be there " Cassie said " Oh hell nooooo Cassie please not this again " i begged she just rolled her eyes, putting on some music we decided to sing along to the songs, dancing in the car and just be us with no time Cassie smiled so wide if it wasn't for her ears it would take over her head " Finally we here " and when I looked up I saw the pack house come to view " welcome to Black lake pack Ashley " Cassie squealed, and all of a sudden I stated feeling nervous again, this is it no turning back now and no running away. Cassie parked her car and we got out of the vehicle, at the door stood at least 10 to 14 people and by the looks of the excitement I can see it's parents and siblings.

We got our baggage and started walking in the direction of the people with big smiles and glistening eyes.
