The whole city is in a wreck. And who is the problem? Elijah.
"Emma? What do we do?" asked Ray in a low voice.
"We protect the people. Their are some that won't be able to escape. Lucas, Ray you guys go and help the people you can."
"Okay." the both said at the same time.
"Ace, you and me will go to Elijah."
"Are you sure?"
"Are you questioning me?" Emma said with a deadly look.
"No..."
"Good lets go."

I've never seen Emma like this before. But then again there are people who are in danger because of us.
Is she scared that other people are getting hurt because of her? Damn this whole town is gone. Nothing is left. Is he that determined to get Emma? well I'm not giving her up with out a fight.
"Well, well, well. Hello Emma~" said Ava
"Ace go find Elijah. I'll deal with her."
"Please as if you could deal with me."
"You a common mage. I'm a high mage. Your nothing special."
If looks could kill Emma would be dead.

"How did you do it?"
"Do what?"
"Get Elijah's attention. I mean tried so hard to get him to notice me. But he never does. So I guess I have to kill you."

A subhuman? I thought they where all dead.
"Is that how you treat your familiar?"
"What? I see nothing wrong."
"Really? She's hardly dressed. She's got wounds all over her, and her hairs a mess. No wonder Elijah want notice you. You can't even treat your Familiar right."
"Gene, get her!"
******Third Person*******
A huge fox showed in front of Emma and Ava.
"What the hell is that!" yelled Ava
"Mystic."
And with that the huge fox turned into a wolf sized animal.
"How the hell did you get a demon as a familiar!?"
"The Mage Council gave him to me."
The subhuman backed up and bowed down to the size changing fox.
"What in the holy gore are you doing?"
"She's backing down. He to powerful for her."
The look on Ava's face showed fear and Anger.
"who needs you." said Ave throwing the subhuman off the building.
'Mystic.' Emma said though mind link
The size changing fox went to go and catch the subhuman.
"You know Ava. If a mage beats another mage they get their Familiar." said Emma
What Emma said catch Ava's attention.
'If I beat Emma, I can get her demon, an Elijah will notice me.'
While Ava was in deep thought Emma started her spell.
"Though the past, though the pain, feel what I feel, feel the pain that I have felt, and die the way I will die."
Ava didn't know the spell that Emma was using. So she didn't know how to block it.
"AAAAHHHHHH!"
The pain Ava felt was the pain Emma felt when she was whipped as a child. And the way that she will die.
"What kind of spell is this?"
"Its one I made."
"The only people that are allowed to makes spells is the Mage Council."
"Yes I know, But I all ready hide demons might as well make some spells."
Ava looked at Emma in a new light. Ava remembered Emma being a low spoken voice. Never spoke her mind. was always a good person. But know she makes her know spells. And who knows how powerful there are. She'll how to think fast.

Emma had her hand to the sky and pointed at Ava. when Ava looked at Emma, lighting had hit her. It was the most common spell, infact it was the first spell you learn.
'She doesn't look like she's going to show any of the other spells she made.'
Ava took the change since Emma was making a despell magic.
'If that hits me I won't be able to use my magic any more'

Ava had summon a harming spell. But Emma could foresee what she was doing and already had a protection spell around her.
"egredere despell."
Ava didn't have enough time to make a protection spell. She was hit with the despell magic.
"You know they told use to always have a protection spell around us at all times. Ava have you forgotten what they told us or was your head filled with my death."
Ava didn't say anything. She had her head down. She was defeated and can't use magic anymore. Will Elijah want her now? No, he want.
"Are you going to kill me?"
What Ava had asked Emma, sent Emma back.
"Why would I kill you?"
"Your Elijah's student. And anyone who Elijah defeats, he kills."
Emma looked at Ava with sad eyes. She move closer to Ava and knelled down to her.
Emma pulled her into a hug and said "I'm nothing like Elijah. I would kill if you where a treat."
Ava had cried into Emma breast, She cringed to her as if sh would leave her. And all Emma did was put her hand on her back and calmed her down.
'She has a knife is I remember right.' thought Ava.
Ava had pulled the knife out of the holder slowly and stabbed Emma.
*EMMA*
I felt a sharp pain in my stomach.
"You are so weak. Can't even kill me." said Ava looking down at Emma.
If she thinks that that would be able to get me down. she needs to think more.
"You know, I was whipped as a child. A knife won't be able to get me down." said Emma
Ava had big eyes and looked at Emma In disbelief.
I went for her since her guard was down. I knocked her legs under and grabbed my knife that was in her hands. And stabbed her in the stomach and in the arm.
"s**t! Damn it." said Ava
"Ah." said Emma holding her side.
My side hurts like hell.
"Emma!" Yelled Ray.
Ray looked at Emma then Ava.
"What happen?" sad Ray trying to stop the bleed that was coming out of Emma.
"Your crying Ray." sad Emma stroking Ray's Face.
"W-what if you die?" sad Ray who was know sobbing.
"This isn't going to kill me." said Emma in a calm voice.
"Who did this?" sad Ray.
Your personalty changes to quickly.
"I did it, I hurt you poor Emma."
Are you an i***t?
Ray didn't take any time to throw her off of the building.
"Emma?" asked Ray in worrying voice.
"I'm good. I'm just going to take a nap."
"Okay." said Ray lifting Emma's head and putting her head in her lap.
"Hopefully Lucas will come and help." said Ray.
