Dawn of the following morning found half the crew looking like they had just been vomited up from hell. As Bird served up scrambled eggs, Sandy took one look at them and dashed from the table. Everyone burst out laughing. They sailed out of Patros, back to the Mediterranean via the Ionian Sea. As The Phantom slipped over the glassy sea towards Egyptian waters, they were joined by a pod of dolphins. Toby leaned over the side of the ship and waved at them. “You know they aren’t gonna wave back,” said Chad. “Doesn’t matter. They can still see me.” Chad shrugged and went about his business.
