A/N: It wouldn't be fair for you guys not to see what Kyle was thinking ; )
Kyle
I walk out my building nodding to my doorman. I get into my car and my driver pulls off. Great, I have a meeting with that pompous asshole Matthews. If I didn't need his business I wouldn't have set this meeting up. He thinks he's God on Earth and everybody should bow down and respect his every word. Yeah, he's impressive but not high and mighty impressive. My car stops and the door is opened. I step out and walk into the skyscraper building. The décor is cold yet stunning. All marble and dark colors around the space with bright big chandeliers and beautiful pieces of art decorates the walls. I bypass the front security going to the front desk.
"I'm here to see Mr. Matthews" I say.
"Down the hall first elevator to the right floor thirty," she says flatly handing me a guest pass.
I nod, going through the security by the elevator. f*****g security, what he thinks somebody is after his huge ego. I follow the directions given by the lady. Everything about his office just screams stiff dominating controlling arrogant asshole. I'm surprised he doesn't have portraits of himself dressed like a king hanging around the place. Of course he's on the top floor of a thirty floor building, again such an arrogant asshole. I step off the elevator and walk to the front desk secretary.
"Mr. Matthews' office" I state.
"Down the hall, make a right and you'll see his office" she says smiling brightly.
I nod before following her directions. His floor isn't cold as the chic lobby is, it's all warm and neutral tones making it feeling kind of welcoming. Though that surprises me so I know that he had no say in the décor of this place besides the lobby. The lobby I believe is all his doing. Once I've reach the office I see a beautiful woman at a desk. Long jet black hair, hour-glass figure, and amazing green eyes. Damn she's absolutely stunning. What the hell is she doing working for such a d**k?
"Mr. Jones?" she asks not looking up from her computer.
"Yes," I state.
She looks up gaping at me and I resist the urge to laugh at her reaction to me. She clears her throat before pressing a button on her desk.
"Mr. Jones is here, would you like me to lead him to the conference room?" she asks.
"No send him in," he says.
"Follow me."
She opens his door and I follow her into the room. I'm met with cold décor again. His desk is huge and mahogany wood. He has a two black leather chairs in front of the desk and lounge chair in the far right of the office. His bookshelf takes up the left wall and of course it's dark wood. It's like the d**k is afraid of colors. But I guess when you're a cold-hearted jackass you tend to like things dark like your soul.
"Can I get you something to drink Mr. Jones?" she asks politely.
"A water would suffice," I say. She nods walking out the room.
"Have a seat" he says motioning to the chair in front of his desk.
We both sit down as she walks back into the room with my water. "Can I-" he starts.
She interrupts him by placing a mug on his desk. She smiles before kissing him softly and walking out the room. I thought it was wrong to have relations with those who work for you. She's too beautiful to be dealing with an asshole like him. The guy is tall, built, and he has amazing hazel eyes that tend to look golden at times. I can't lie and say that the little freckles dancing across the bridge of his nose aren't hot. People like him knew what they looked like and are pretentious assholes. He takes a sip from his mug raising his eyebrows up at me. I guess he wants me to talk, asshole. I start talking anyway about the new port and showing him the papers. Yes, having him on board would be more for the benefit of my company than his but I won't tell him that. At least he'll see some benefit rather than none at all.
"Mr. Jones I appreciate what you're trying to do but what I don't appreciate is the way in which you are trying to do it. We both know this development is more beneficial for you than it is for me. I see profit for my company so I'll agree. We'll have papers drawn up and my assistant will be in touch" he says cutting me off.
He stands up and I pack up my stuff resisting the urge to say a few choice words. Honestly could he be more of an arrogant son of a b***h. First, he raises his eyebrows for me to speak like I'm some dog. Secondly, he cuts me off when I'm not even finished my pitch. Thirdly, he stands up as if it's my cue to get the hell out of his face. If I didn't need his business I'd punch him in the face for being so damn disrespectful.
"Thank you for your time" I state holding out my hand.
He shakes my hand tightly and my body feels like it's being electrocuted in the best possible way. Its undeniable bliss on my end but I can tell it means something totally different for him. He pulls away quickly and harshly. I can't even think of anything harsh to say about his reaction. I've been waiting for this day my whole life. Though it's with someone I use to despise I can't help but to be elated at the revelation. This is going to be a lot harder than I first initially thought it'd be when this day came.
"Stop f*****g staring at me!" he bellows snapping me from my thoughts.
"Are...you going to reject it?" I ask my traitorous voice cracking.
"I don't know."
"You can't, hell I won't f*****g let you" I can't help but to growl.
"Jessica!" he yells.
She rushes into the room, "Yes Der?"
First she kisses him now she has a nickname for him. She's starting to piss me off. He's f*****g mine regardless of how much of an asshole he is. She once was a beautiful woman now she's a pain in my ass who doesn't seem to know her place.
"Can you show Mr. Jones out" he states.
"I can see myself out when I'm ready" I state flatly.
She walks closer to him, "are you okay?"
What the f**k does it matter to her? She shouldn't even care about if he's okay or not because that's not her f*****g job. It's to copy papers and bring him coffee when he needs it. He nods and she kisses him softly before walking out the room. I've never wanted to hit a woman until now. I can't believe she kissed him yet again. The fact that he let her knowing what we now are to each other makes me want to rip his f*****g throat out. He'll quickly learn to respect me.
"Would you calm the f**k down" he says rubbing his temples.
"It'd be best if she knew her place around you" I growl.
"She does and it'll never change. Can you leave now?"
"I'm not leaving until you say you're not going to reject it."
"I'm not going to f*****g reject it now get the hell out!" he bellows loudly.
"I'll be back."
I walk out the office not bothering to look at his slutty assistant. The further I got the more palpable the dull ache in my chest became. I can't believe he reacted the way that he did. I've spent my entire life thinking about finding my mate. How the bond would make both of us elated knowing we were meant to be. I get stuck with this asshole who doesn't give a s**t about our bond. I know he's a serial playboy but what about us being mates. Hell, I could've thought of better prospects for a mate but the Gods must've put us together for a reason. What the hell is up with his too personal assistant anyway. If he came to my office and seen my personal assistant kissing me he'd flip too. Just the thought of him f*****g that skank pisses me off. I get out my car going into my building. I go up to my office and Justin, my assistant, comes right in. His dirty blonde hair everywhere like he's been running his fingers through it a lot. His grey eyes looking anxious and excited. He knows all about the asshole too.
"What happened?" he asks.
"He agreed to the new development" I say falling back into my chair.
"Is he as handsome as everybody says?" he asks grinning.
Justin is openly gay and wastes no time admiring any guy. If I hadn't known him for so long I'd be pissed about him asking about my mate. When you hear so much about the asshole I'd ask questions too. "Yea he is" I state dryly.
He frowns, "what's wrong boss?"
"The asshole is my mate."
He gasps dramatically, "lucky you."
"He doesn't want the bond."
"I'm sure he's just shocked, he'll come around, make him fall for you. Your next meeting is on their way up." He walks out my office, I guess I could get him to fully accept the bond. This should be interesting
