Nate wasn’t sure what woke him, only that it was far, far too early. Sunlight poured directly into his eyes through blinds left carelessly open, and he rolled over with a groan, fumbling for his phone. Come to think of it, he kept an alarm set for seven on weekdays, why hadn’t it… Oh, yeah. His phone was dead, and his brain too close to likewise last night to think of plugging it in. It was the only phone they had, except Bree’s Firefly, so that wouldn’t do. He had to charge the phone…then he could go back to bed… Once he was upright, however, a visit to the bathroom quickly became a necessity, and by the time that was done he was hungry.
