Chapter 13
Sunday morning, those of the group who were staying at the cabin tried to keep busy. None of them wanted to be a bundle of overwrought nerves before the rest of the team joined them at two that afternoon.
Rénald and Ewan had returned from their reconnaissance mission before the others woke up, but refused to tell them what they’d found out. As Rénald had put it, “I’d rather not have to repeat it again, possibly more than once, as the others who are involved in this arrive.” Instead, he and Ewan retired to Noah’s office in the cabin, closing the door against interruptions. Galen had the feeling they were coordinating all the information they’d gathered into one file, then probably printing it so it could be passed out to everyone to read before asking questions.
