THE BEAUTIFUL BELLA

Needed to see him badly. The phrase echoed in her head. just why did she need to see him badly?she was still pondering over this when her parents who could no longer hold back cleared their throats. They had been watching her since the night before husband. They both smiled."In love?"prince Anthonio asked, echoing his previous thought"But we just met"

"You just met?his mother asked, her eyes shining"oh but there is love at first sight. Don't worry, I will give you a book about love"she looked at her husband again and they both laughed again.

Prince Anthonio who had thought it was a joke was surprised when his mother brought him the book. After reading it, he knew better, without a doubt, he was in love with bella and he would tell her as soon as they met. And she has been acting strangely. At dinner time, she had hardly touched her food but had smiled all the way through dinner. She had passed her mother salt when she was asked to pass an apple and had turned the cup upside down and pour water instead of the tea she had been asked to pour for her dad.

This Bella is different from the bella we know her parents reasoned. Something must have gone wrong or right somewhere. From then, they had watched her closely without her notice until they saw her all dressed up and pacing up and down." Are you going anywhere, dear?" her mother asked concerned."no mum,why? bella replied. "you are not going anywhere and yet you are all dressed up?" the mother prompted further. Bella couldn't hold back anymore as she opened up and told her parents everything that happened. After her explanation, her parents smiled and told her she could go. They. advice her to be careful and bade her farewell. Then they held each other's hand and smiled again as they watched their daughter hurry away to her love journey.

The time has come for me to become queen and take back what is rightfully mine, though lady patricia as she paced her room up and down. It was now fifteen years since she had removed her first obstacle-princess Bella, and she knew it has been long enough for then to get over their first loss.

It wasn't like she wanted the King and his queen to die, no it simply wasn't because she would even love it if they would see her take over and become queen. Moreover, even if she wanted them to dead, she could not have had them killed for she had been earlier warned against it.

The only thing she had to do now was to think of a way to get the king and his queen out of her way without killing them and without her being suspected. It wouldn't do for the people to suspect her of killing their king and his queen and suddenly becoming queen,no,, it simply wouldn't do.

So she sat very much for sometime, as if by so doing she would come up with an idea. This strategy seemed to work for not up to ten minutes later, she came up with an idea.

The king and queen were going to attend a royal ball at the palace of sebastian. She would easily get them off on their own without any guard and have them kidnapped. That way, it could look just like a random killing and no one would suspect her since she was staying h my behind in the palace.

What remained to be done, however, was to convince the driver who would be taking them over there. After all was just a driver and could not earn so much. If only she could give him a lot of money he would be more than willing to do the job. So with this thought,she got up and went to the palace stable to see the stage coach driver.

Gangilo, as the stage coach driver was called did not agree to do the job first, he argued that the king and his queen were too good to be eliminated like that. Then lady patricia gave it one more try.

"Gangilo, I am not asking you to do the job for free, you could live real easy with this"she shook a bag and the coins inside junked,then she continued after ensuring that her money had the desired effect,"you can go somewhere far away here and live like a king.

"But my lady,you are asking me to murder not one but two people, I don't think I can't do what you are asking me to do?

"You won't,she asked again,?now wanting to use blackmail method,"well young man, you have no choice I give you five minutes to accept my proposal or else I scream and tell everyone you tried to r**e me. Of course you know what that means"she concluded on a final note.

Gangilo could see he was trapped. if he refused to do her budding, he would be killed for the false allegation and on the other hand, he was too good as heart to murder a man who had given him means of livelihood and his wife who had taken very good care of him. There was nothing else he could do now,she still had a widowed mother to take care of and a long way to go in life. He was the only child and he still was not married yet but he just couldn't take the life of another. Unless.........

........"hello,tic-tac,tic-tac ,"lady patricia intruded rudely into his thought. He has been so lost in his reverie that he had forgotten she was there."Alright my lady I will take the job you have to promise me no one will hear about this "he said at last "cross my heart"she replied, smile triumphantly as she handed over the bag to him and he snatched it as if she would change her mind at any mind.

She turned on her heels and walked out of the stable as gracefully as she could after what had just transpire between them. He stated her retreating figure and wondered how God could create someone so wicked until she was lost to his sight and he went back to work.
