"Is Alistair not returning yet?" I asked Alejandro when he chose to sleep in my chamber for tonight. He was scooting me near to his body after our intense lovemaking.
Alejandro pressed a tender kiss on my fingers before lacing our hands together. "His medical mission in Sowhorn took longer than we expected, mariposa. As much as Alistair would like to see you, too, it is not possible." I closed my eyes, feeling the warmth of his lips against my forehead. "For now, I shall fulfill my duty as your mate while Alistair is away. Will that be enough for you?" he asked softly.
Nodding, Alejandro's face brightened up as he softened. "You promise me that I will stay here for the night, right? You will let me return to our dormitory?"
