After they finish their cakes, Gerald has a satisfied look on his face. It was very delicious. The expensive price is just right. In fact, it’s worth it. Then, he immediately wants to leave this bakeshop to avoid Catarina’s suspicion.

However, his sister is still enjoying her cake and was not done yet. He can’t tell her to hurry up since it would be a bad image as a brother. What he can only do is wait for her to finish the cake.

But there’s nothing to do in here. She is eating so slow that makes Gerald think that she is purposely doing it. But she’s an airhead and will do nothing of the sort. Therefore, he wandered his eyes around in the bakeshop, not trying to look at the two beautiful women in front of them eating their cakes.

Then, he found a newspaper stand just outside. If he can pass the time while reading some newspaper. Maybe he might not get bored waiting for her to finish the cake.

Therefore, it's decided.

“I’m going out to buy some newspapers. Enjoy your cake here huh?”

He placed his hand over Alice’s shoulder and non-verbally indicated that she should shut her mouth when he is gone.

Gerald left the bakeshop to buy some newspapers. Alice on the other hand talked to the two ladies.

“Did you know that my brother invented a new kind of plane called “Hercules?”

When she said that, the two gave her a dubious look. There is really something odd between these siblings.

“What do you mean? The plane is invented by his royal highness, Gerald del Stuart.” Elise said peevishly.

“Calm down, Elise. You’re talking to a child.”

“Why won’t anybody believe me?” She sulked and thought of a way to make them believe that it was the truth. Then she inadvertently took a glance at her necklace. It was a necklace that has a portrait ability.

“Ah, I think I know now!” Then she deactivated her portrait ability and she returned to her original appearance.

The two looked at him with a baffled expression. She is the daughter of King Viktor del Stuart. Alice del Stuart. Then, the man beside him is…

Catarina realizes what is happening and urges Alice to return to her disguise. She has heard of this power before. It’s only exclusive to the royal family. There’s no mistaking it. The reason why she didn’t believe at first glance was that Gerald gave a different vibe in his disguise.

Elise also realizes this and tries to cover her while changing back to her disguise. A moment later, Gerald returned to the bakeshop and sat on his seat.

Then she looked at the two who looked tense. Gerald sighed deeply and said.

“So, she blurted out huh? Let me guess, she deactivated her disguise.”

The two women nodded at him. Indicating that he was right. He sighed once more. Now that the two know, what’s next?

It’s a mistake that can’t be mend. Because he lied to his fiance and didn’t tell her about this matter. All he wants to do is explore the town with her sister and have fun. No one would know that it will turn into this. Now that it has turned into this. He has no other choice to bow apologetically to the two.

“So, why did you do it?” Catarina’s voice sent chills down his spine.

“I’m sorry.”

“Do you know that sneaking out in the palace may endanger your life right? Even if you’re in disguise.”

“That’s right, Gerald. Why do you want to eat here when you can order one of your maids to bake a cake for you?” Elise added.

“I-I just want to know how the people work outside the palace and also I promised my sister that we will go out.”

What he said is a truth, he convinced the two with his soft voice.

Then, he turned his face to Alice who was enjoying her cake. He looked at him with an intimidating and sharp gaze that made Alice jump out involuntarily. It was a scary look that made Alice swell with tears in her eyes. He realizes his big mistake. He scared his sister. He tried to comfort her but she ran towards Catarina and clung to her, seeking protection.

Gerald sighed again. He was the worst.

Then Catarina tried to comfort her by using her motherly aura. She comforts her by stroking her head gently and embracing her softly.

“You’re the worst, Gerald” Elise blurted, “Scaring your sister like that, hmph!” She folded her hands and looked away.

He is the worst, that’s the word that pains him inside. He is a brother that is supposed to protect and care for his sister but he quite did the opposite.

“Alice, come to your brother please?” He said softly, “I’m sorry please, forgive your brother. I made a mistake. Come on” He extended his arms offering a reconciliation hug.

The teary-eyed Alice looked at him softly. She wiped her tears off using Catarina’s sleeves. Catarina also looked to her as well, giving off this ‘forgive him’ look. Hence, Alice returned to his embrace and hugged her tightly.

And then he lifted her and rested her on his lap. But he knew that it wasn’t enough to gain her apology. So, he thought of a way that will make her feel good, like a gift for example. But he wandered his eyes around again and saw the menu. There under the dessert, there is a strawberry ice cream.

“I’ll give you ice cream so please forgive your brother.” He said with a pitiful face.

“Okay,” With that word, Gerald called the waitress and ordered strawberry ice cream. Meanwhile, the two of them looked at Gerald's brotherly attitude. They can see that Gerald is quite a gentle, caring, and loving brother. They can’t help but smile happily at him.

Gerald noticed the women’s gaze praising him silently. He had done a good job.

“Okay, you can sit on your seat now.” He said.

“I don’t want to!” She said, “I want to sit on your lap brother” then hugged him tightly. She really does love her brother that they are quite making a scene so embarrassing in the eyes of Gerald. But he didn’t care about it and proceeded to read some articles in the newspaper.

But, Catarina and Elise are still at the table, even though they finished their slice of cake. Why aren’t they leaving?

“We’re not leaving,” Catarina said, he might have read Gerald’s glance.

“Okay, if you say so.” He has no other choice but to let them.

Then after they received the ice cream. He paid the tab including Catarina and Elise’s orders.

“Why did you pay for us? We have the money you know!” Elise complained but Gerald rebutted.

“Come on guys, once in my life let me act cool in front of you by paying your tabs. Besides, we are dining at your reserved table. You can’t insist since I already paid for it. I will not take any payment or some sort.

Then they left at the bakeshop, Alice entered the car that the two women gave him another dubious look.

“Don’t tell me that you can drive, Gerald?” Elise said, since the time they entered the bakeshop, she is talkative compared to Catarina.

“How do you think I would get here in the first place? Walking?” He said and continued, “Then how did the two of you get here? Did you commute or you have your servants tagged along in your trip?”

“We have servants,” Catarina replied. “Then, where are you both going?” Catarina said meekly.

“Eh? Maybe a gift shop I guess. I believe that my sister here hasn’t completely forgiven me. I will make it up.”

“Then, maybe you should make up as well about not telling your fiance about this trip.”

“You’re right” And tried to hug her and surprisingly Catarina didn’t repulse him. But accepted it. He then gave her a kiss on her cheek that Elise and Catarina’s face turned slightly red.

It was a soft kiss that he received from his highness. Elise was somewhat jealous about this. Then he proceeded to Elise and placed his hand onto her head and stroke it gently.

“Now, if let’s meet again in the royal palace. Sorry, I can’t let you come with us since we’re staying low. But we’ll return to the palace as soon as possible.” He said fluidly.

“Then,” Catarina looked at the watch, “If the both of you are still not at the palace at five-thirty. You’ll know what will happen to you right?” She said intimidatingly.

“I will be back before that time so rest assured. I know how to protect myself. I have the necessary protection to make this trip secure.”

“All right. Then have fun with your trip!” Catarina said.

“I love you!” He said proudly.

“I love you too.” She returned.

And Gerald then started the engine of his car and went towards the business district where famous shops are located. The capital is bustling as many people are walking on the side of the street left and right. Many of them just go about their daily lives like buying things et cetera et cetera.

Then, they arrived at the place called “Silver Deer” The two entered the shops and saw a lot of products displayed left and right. There are shoes for men and women, a variety of clothes, accessories, hairpins and the like.

Alice rushed to the hairpin stand where there are a lot of hairpin designs as well. Ranging from hears, butterflies, hearts, and so on. Meaning that his hair spin is specifically focused on the female children demographic.

Then, he looked at the price tag. His eyes opened wide when he saw an enormous price tag for each hairpin.

He looked around the store and everything seemed luxurious, the interior design of the walls is luxurious and exquisite furniture can be seen inside the store. It’s a store that the rich can only afford.

Then the female store crew noticed them and tried to accommodate them.

“Uhm, I would love something good for my sister. Do you have any recommendations?” He replied softly and found out that the lady was not listening to him instead she looked at him intensely.

Then she is returned to her senses.

“I’m sorry for spacing out, can you please repeat it?”

“Uhm. I’m looking for something that fits beautifully for my sister here. Do you have any recommendations?”

Then she looked at his cute sister whose eyes are charmed at the designs of the hairpins.

“Ah, I see, then I suggest that butterfly hairpin sir. It will look beautiful and compliment her hair color.”

“Can we try it?” Gerald asked.

“Of course,” And gave him the hairpin.

A beautifully designed black butterfly hairpin is now in his hand and he placed it on Alice’s hair. Then leaned back to see the difference and he saw the cutest girl in his universe became even cuter.

“I’ll take it.” He said without hesitation, not minding the price.

The cost was 20,000 florins. It was considered very expensive in this world, but he is the royal prince. He has s**t tons of money not including the royalty fee that he receives from the defense contractors and other companies.

“Oh, my cute Alice! Will you marry me?” She said flamboyantly to which Alice immediately replied with a huge YES!

Then he inserted the ring on her index finger, he also let Alice put the identical ring on his index finger as well.

Everyone in the store clapped in joy.

“Congratulations, my lady! You’re now married to your brother.”

It was a weird sentence but okay, Gerald and the rest played along with the charades.

“Now, let’s go home?”

“Okay!” She said with a goofy face.
