The world had lost its color.
His fingers shook as they gently touched the soft petals of the daisy — the same flower she was holding when she fell. It was the last thing her hand touched before time stole her warmth.
He was sitting alone in the garden.
Her garden.
Their garden.
Now... a graveyard of memories that refused to fade.
The doctors had said it without hesitation: her heart couldn’t survive the impact.
She was gone before he even reached the hospital.
Gone.
That word felt heavy —
So heavy it crushed his chest, made every breath feel like a betrayal.
But that night — the night he cried like the sky was weeping with him — something changed.
He remembered.
A single tear on his cheek, glowing faintly under the soft light, had awakened something.
Not with words…
But with a memory.
1996.
The memory burst open like a door blown wide by the wind.
The air smelled of marigolds… and magic.
A little boy sat beneath the wide shade of a willow tree. His tiny fingers were drawing circles on the surface of a quiet pond.
But he wasn’t a human boy — not yet.
He was a dew drop.
He was… becoming.
Learning.
Feeling.
And across the water… there she was.
Daisy.
Tiny. Glowing. Curious. Full of wonder.
But their meeting was never an accident.
A mysterious lady had brought them together — a woman wrapped in silver-gray, with a voice like the soft ringing of wind chimes. She had led the little drop to the garden and whispered:
“She’s not a girl yet. But she is love. And if you care for her… one day, she’ll become what your soul truly needs.”
The lady would appear and vanish like morning mist.
She taught him how to whisper to flowers… how to name each drop… how to dream of a love that needed no words.
And Daisy — she chose him.
He took care of her.
And she gave him a name.
“You’re my Drop,” she giggle.
“Even when you don’t talk, I know you love me.”
And he did.
He brought her water without being asked.
He glowed every time she smiled.
He felt pain when she cried.
He was more than a drop.
He was becoming something because of her.
And one day…
Under a daisy glowing with moonlight, someone made a wish.
“If this is real love… then let him become real. Let him be human. Let them meet again.”
The air went completely still.
The flowers shimmered like stars.
And then it felt like....
Someone said ....
“Your wish, is now a seed planted in time."
Love chose you....
Then everything blurred.
Time folded.
And he became human — first a boy… then a man —
But with no memory of who he once was.
Until now.
Back to the present.
He leaned his forehead against the hospital bed — now empty.
“You were the one who remembered,” he whispered.
“You were the one who carried us.”
His voice cracked.
“I wasted our second chance…”
And then he screamed — from the deepest place in his chest:
“DAISYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
I REMEMBER EVERYTHING!”
But it was too late.
Daisy…
had already been declared dead.
