Chapter Seventeen Another sleepless night. Another morning at the café with the day ahead stretching endlessly. Hospitals were not restful places to spend the night. Her bones ached as she stepped through the door. She couldn’t string a handful of thoughts together, save the nightmare of what had happened yesterday.
