The Divine Finalisation [Complete]

Chapter 41 Odin Sends Frey and Freya on a Mission to Earth.

A few days later, Frey and Freya had returned to Melchior’s army base, and they proceeded to Odin’s command module to report. They bowed to their father as they entered, and Frey started talking:

-          Great news, dear father. We have convinced all the Zetan factions to join our army for the coming final battle against the Xenos. All of the leadership and most of the remaining Zetan armies are coming, totalling over 5,000 Zetan elite warriors. They are being transported here by Human transport shuttles as we speak.

Odin:

-          Good job, my children. I knew that I could trust you.

-          I have another mission for you. You are to make your way to Earth and seek an alliance with the Terran Council.

Frey:

-          But isn’t the Terran Council of Earth the enemies of the Martian Dominion? We are already allied with the Martian Dominion, dear father.

Odin:

-          Yes, but allying to both the major Martian and Terran factions is an insurance policy against either of them turning against us. It’s divide and conquer.

Freya:

-          Understood, father. So, you also have a bad feeling about this Melchior guy?

Odin:

-          He is hiding something, but he is our only chance. Besides, the food and supplies he brought have helped us revitalise. Fighting a war starving was never a good option.

-          If we were to ally with both Martian and Terran factions, we ensure ourselves against betrayal, as the betrayal by one faction would lead to the help of the other faction.

Frey:

-          You are right, father. But how do we open the portals back to Earth?

Odin:

-          Here is the key to the portal. To activate it, use some of these human-made fuel cells that I have modified for the purpose. There are enough powers in those to enable the portals for a few minutes.

-          To return here, you could either activate the switches in the four pyramids or find some fuel cells and use the key again.   

Freya:

-          Thank you, father, we will be on our way!

Having said that, Frey and Freya kissed Odin on the cheek and said farewell, never to see him again.
