Chapter 22 Metatron Notices Sabina’s Amazing Abilities.

651 Words
A few months later, in June 2876, Metatron was watching the news and felt a deep sense of guilt and remorse over giving up the Zetan technologies to Melchior. Giving up the technologies had saved the Edenites, saved Melissa and his daughter Sabina, but the cost for everyone else on Mars was far too high. With the Zetan technologies, Melchior stood strong without any real opposition, and now Mars was under his tyranny, with no one left to resist his evil power. Metatron sighed. The reign of the Terran Council had been bad enough, but it was nothing compared to the atrocities under Melchior. The Terran Council rule over the solar system was mainly characterised by greed and hunger for domination, where the Terran Council army only used real force when they were opposed.  With Melchior, things were different. Melchior and his inner circle seemed to find great joy and amusement from torturing and maiming people just for the fun of it. Officially, Melchior was basing his rule over Mars as a theocracy following Yahweh’s teachings. But this wasn’t even close to the reality. While Yahweh’s instructions were harsh but in some sense fair and predictable, Melchior’s rule was a terrible tyranny that made a mockery of the laws in the Old Testament.  Apparently, Melchior started every Saturday with human sacrifice, cannibalism and demon worship, things that were outlawed in the Bible. To make things even more gruesome, he sometimes forced his prisoners to kill and eat their own family members! Hearing about all the atrocities of Melchior, Metatron felt powerless and wished that he had died that fateful day. Metatron exhaled, breathed and let go.  There were always two sides to everything in life, and on the bright side, Melissa had fallen pregnant. In a couple of months, Sabina would have a baby brother. Thinking of Sabina, Metatron decided to stop working for the day and spend time with his daughter instead. He entered her room, and it appeared that she was talking to someone. But that couldn’t be.  Sabina was only a year old and could hardly walk, even less so having a proper conversation with someone. But it was clearly a child’s voice talking in the room. Feeling curious and wonderfully surprised at the same time, Metatron entered the room. Sabina noticed his presence and turned around: -          Hi daddy. So lovely to see you today. Metatron froze. Sabina couldn’t speak at all yesterday, and now she could talk properly, like a much older child. Sabina gave him a curious look and spoke again: -          Is something wrong daddy? Come give me a hug. Metatron walked up to Sabina and gave her a hug. He looked at her with amazement and spoke: -          I didn’t know you could talk? When did you learn? Sabina: -          A few days ago. I have been speaking a lot to my mother lately. Metatron: -          Really? Why didn’t she tell me about it? Sabina: -          She couldn’t reach you. It’s not in your blood to communicate via telepathy. Metatron: -          Sabina, have you been speaking to Keila? Sabina: -          Yes, who else? We both know Melissa isn’t my real mother. Metatron was stunned and looked deeply into Sabina's eyes. They were glowing with a wonderfully majestic and luminescent blue colour. Suddenly they stopped and reverted to their natural green colour. Sabina spoke again: -          Dada. Peekaboo!!!! Metatron studied the child. Nothing in her looks was indicating any superior advanced intelligence anymore, and she had reverted mentally to the one-year-old child she was. Had he imagined it all, and was he going crazy? In either case, the baby girl needed him, and what she needed right now was to play peekaboo, so that’s what he would do!
