In January 2880, Melchior and Rangda were meeting up to prepare for their next conquest, the conquest of the Dwarves homeworld Goldonia. Melchior was studying his and Rangda’s massive army. They had plundered Elvonia and turned it into a barren wasteland, but while doing so, they had converted the planet's biomass into an army of millions of accelerated cloning Xeno-Martian hybrids. The days of the planet were numbered, and it would soon turn into a Venusian wasteland, as global warming and volcanic activity were turning the planet into a hot and toxic hellscape.
To Melchior, the destruction of Elvonia was bitter-sweet. It had made him a lot more powerful than before, but it had been a waste. He had always dreamt of running the beautiful blue planet Earth, and now he had come across an equally beautiful planet, ripe for the taking and he had managed to destroy it in less than a year. At some point, he would need to get rid of Rangda so he could rule his galactic empire on his own, without destroying it. He had still much to learn from Rangda though, so he’d stay loyal for now. Suddenly, Rangda entered the room, and she had brought an Elven prisoner. Melchior immediately forgot about his rebellious plans to focus on a much more important issue, his hunger. Together they devoured the Elven prisoner and proceeded to copulate.
After their meal, Rangda spoke to Melchior:
- We are done with Elvonia, the planet is dying, and we need to move on.
Melchior:
- I am still annoyed at the wasted opportunity. Elvonia was such a beautiful planet when we first got here.
Rangda:
- Yes, but the planet was doomed the minute I corrupted and stole its Zeto Crystal. After that speeding up the downfall of the planet and quickly building our army was the right thing to do!
- No matter, we are evacuating Elvonia before it becomes uninhabitable and we need to focus on our next objective. To acquire the Zeto Crystal belonging to the Dwarves on Goldonia.
Melchior:
- With our army this strong, I doubt they’ll be any threat towards us?
Rangda:
- Don’t underestimate them. While they are not as technologically advanced as the Zetans or we are, their technology is not as obsolete as the Elves were. And one thing you must know about Dwarves, they are stubborn and refuse to submit to overwhelming power. Conquering them would take years and cost more than it’s worth.
Melchior:
- So how do you suggest we deal with these creatures to secure the Zeto Crystal?
Rangda:
- Simple. We make them an offer they can refuse. The Zeto Crystal is highly praised by the Dwarves for its beauty and uniqueness. It has, however, no influence on them or their planet. So, we make them an offer they can’t refuse.
Melchior:
- And what would that be?
Rangda:
- In the Goldonia star system, there is a huge asteroid made of gold. We can offer them to safely land this rock on the surface in exchange for the Zeto Crystal. Blinded by their greed, they will accept.
Melchior:
- But wouldn’t this make the Dwarves wealthy and powerful?
Rangda:
- Quite the opposite. Gold is only valuable because of its scarcity. When it suddenly becomes common, it loses its value, and the Dwarven society collapses. Then when they are weakened, we can easily subject them to us if we want to. But regardless, we’d have the Zeto Crystal by then.
Melchior:
- You are indeed an evil genius.
Rangda:
- And soon to be a goddess! Prepare the army to move. Goldonia is far away, so we better get going.
Melchior:
- Yes, Queen Rangda, thy order will be done!
