Chapter 57

I kept an eye on everyone as we flew but felt very uneasy as we got closer to the castle. I heard a low growl from Lux then I felt my mother's powers. I looked at my father who's head snapped towards me. He got up and quickly jumped. I sighed seeing his reaction and Lux quickly dived trying to get closer to the ground. Everyone else held on to him tightly then I jumped as a loud explosion came from the living room. I landed near the garden and I said to everyone, "Don't come in, just try to get a scent of Angela." They nodded while Sebastian walked towards me. I placed my hand on his chest as I said, "I have to go see what happened." He nodded sadly but didn't fight me about going to investigate.
I made my way to the living room and I saw our servants had managed to make a few barriers to keep the damage to a minimum. As they saw me they bowed then Hanna said, "We just saw your father." I looked at her and said, "I found him and helped bring his memories back." They all looked at me surprised but didn't say anymore. I crossed the barriers and I saw my father holding an unconscious man. I walked towards them but kept an eye on my mother who had crimson eyes that were enraged. I said to my mother as I got in front of my father and her, "What happened, mother?" She had tears in her eyes as she said, "He confessed that me faked your sister's death and sold her to a couple who were unable to have children." I felt anger and wanted to hear more but Sebastian mind-linked me saying, 'We found her scent and are following it.' I looked at her and said, "Father, please take him to the dungeon. We have a scent for Angela and my mate is following it with Lux. I will go help them get her back, in the mean time, try to catch up and help her stay calm." He nodded then my mother said angrily, "Where was he?" I looked ta her then said, "He was rescued by a werewolf pack and they took him in. Unfortunately, he died that day but his powers brought him back." She glared at him with pain in her eyes then I added, "He also got amnesia and I managed to jog his memory enough to bring it all back." She looked at me in disbelief and my father said softly, "If I had remembered sooner I would have tried to get here at any cost." She began to cry and I said, "Hanna, take the barriers down and take this man to my dungeon." The barriers were taken down and she walked in. She took the man form my father and walked away. My parents walked slowly towards each other and I saw everyone worried but once my parents hugged I saw them all visibly relax.
I quickly walked out of the room and began to run towards where Sebastian's scent was. I got to them and he said as he took my hand, "She left us a small trail of blood." I frowned then said, "If he as so much laid a finger on her, I will tear him to shreds after Lux get's his hands off him." Lux growled again as he said, "I won't leave any traces of him when I get my hands on him. I nodded then I felt a sensation shoot through my body. I stopped and Sebastian said worried, "What was that?" I looked at him confused and he said, "I felt you shock me slightly." I looked at him worried then he said, "Your shoulder is glowing." I quickly pulled my shirt and saw that my birthmark was glowing slightly. I said to them, "Do you think this is a sign?" Before any of us could say anything there was a loud explosion not far from where we were.
Lux immediately turned into a dragon and was about to ascend when I grabbed his tail and said to the others, "Go to where the explosion was, we will fly and see if we can see anything." They began to run and I climbed up Lux's tail onto his back.
We saw the place where the explosion was happening and we saw a white and baby blue scaled dragon. It was smaller than Lux but the eyes were a piercing violet similar to mines. We got closer and I said, "Do you know who this dragon is?" We saw some men trying to restrain the dragon but Lux immediately went to the rescue. He blew his fire and made an area where they could not get close to the dragon. He got close to the dragon and as they saw each other I noticed the recognition of each other in their eyes. I sighed then said, "You must be Angela." The dragon looked at me with those piercing violet eyes and nodded. I smiled then said, "I guess us finally marking our mates also means we become part their species." She looked around herself shocked and I said, "I'm also half werewolf now." Her head shot up at me and I smiled as I said, "I also found our father." She looked at me even more shocked then we heard a voice that I wanted to shut forever say, "Nice of you to join us, Alice." We all turned to where the voice was coming from and we saw a red eyed Erick standing before us.
Lux lunged at him but quickly stopped. I looked ta him and I saw him holding a child. I jumped off of Lux and landed a few meters away form Erick then I said, "Why are you holding a child?" He smiled at me then said, "You won't be able to hurt me if I have this child." I smiled then said, "I won't be able to but he will." He looked behind him and Sebastian's fist made contact with Erick's face. He fell towards me and the child went flying. I quickly ran to him and managed to catch him. He began to cry with fear and I said, "Don't worry, you will be fine." He clung unto me while Sebastian and Erick were fighting.
