Chapter 54

Sebastian put me down as soon as he was in the front porch. I smiled and held his hand as I knocked on the door. My father opened it and Jake was right behind him. My father smiled and said, "I thought you two would be asleep by now." Sebastian smiled as he said, "Well, I wanted to make Alice rest but we had to really test something out with the rogues we captured and it worked better than we thought." I nodded and my father said, "Is that who the man standing behind you is?" Robin had his head down and seemed intimidated by my father's presence. I said as I looked at Robin, "Yes, he is my new personal bodyguard. While I was interrogating him about the attack I was unable to get him to speak but I bit him and took his memories. It seems like my blood contracts can also be done with a bite now." My father rubbed his chin and said, "Come in, we can talk about it for a bit." We walked inside and Robin stayed closed to me.

We took a seat in the living room and my father said, "So, you made a contract with this werewolf and need me to keep him here, right?" I nodded and said, "If I had known that a contract could be made in this matter I would have never bitten him." He nodded and Sebastian added, "He was cursed by someone to die if he said anything about the plan the person had." My father nodded then said, "Back when I was young, there was a half-dragon half-witch, that was able to enchant both werewolves and dragons. She used them as underlings and would discard them once they were of no use to her." I said as I grabbed Sebastian's hand to keep me calm, "Erick is also involved." My father frowned and said, "Wasn't he arranged to marry you?" I rolled my eyes as I said, "Yes, his parents arranged it when you were still with us but I broke it off over a century ago." He chuckled and said, "I'm guessing he didn't like the idea of you breaking it off." I nodded and Sebastian just held my hand as I felt him getting upset then I said, "It seems like he wants to become King." My father sighed then said, "I never really liked him." I smiled as I said, "He is a good actor but I had a loyal friend that refused to do as he said." My father said, "He tried going after Hanna?" I nodded and he said, "If I see him, I will personally beat him half to death." I smiled and said, "No worries, I compelled him to stay away form me so now he is using this woman to try and hurt me." He looked at his watch and said, "Well, it's getting late and I don't want you two to be tired tomorrow." I smiled and Sebastian said, "No need to worry, I will make sure she rests well." My father smiled and said, "I believe you." He got up and I said to Robin, "If you have any concerns or questions, ask my father and I will come here in the morning to check in on you." He nodded and Sebastian said as he wrapped one arm around my waist, "Let's go before we don't have a chance to sleep." I smiled and said to everyone, "Good night, see you guys in the morning." My father waved as he laughed and the other two just waved at me. 

We returned to the pack house and there were still some Alpha's there talking with Laura and Jon. As we made our way to our room a woman walked up to me and said, "How did you manage that trick?" I looked at her with a blank expression and Sebastian said, "I wouldn't provoke her if I were you." She sneered and said again arrogantly, "I asked a question and I expect an answer." A man walked up to her and said as he gave us a bow, "Rachel, I suggest you leave them alone. Especially the Queen Luna." She rolled her eyes then said, "I suggest you keep your mouth shut you peasant." The man smirked as he said, "I warned you and everyone is a witness to this." He points around to everyone and they all look at us. I say to the man, "What's your name?" He does as bow as he says, "I am Beta Aluric from the Mid-dusk Pack." I gave him a smile and the woman named Rachel snapped her fingers in my face. Sebastian let out a growl and she growled back at him as she said, "I'm also an Alpha so your little growl will not affect me." I punched her in the face and she fell to the floor. I looked at her as she held her broken nose and said, "I don't care who you are. If you disrespect my mate or anyone else just because you feel entitled to it solely based on the fact you are an Alpha. I will show you just what kind of an Alpha you are and how you are not even close to beating me in my vampire form." She growled at me and tried to lunge at me but I held her by the neck. She growled and clawed at my hand but any scratches I got were almost gone within seconds. I picked her up and she thrashed around as I walked with her outside. I quickly threw her on the ground and she growled again as she tried to turn. 

I looked her in the eyes as she changed but before she could lunge at me an older man walked in front of me as he said, "Rachel, I need you to turn back now." She growled angrily but stayed away. The man said again a bit more angry, "If you don't change now, I will be forced to..." Before he could finish she lunged at him and I stepped forward. I slammed my body into her and she flew backwards. I looked at the man and said, "Who are you?" He looked at me sadly as he said, "I'm her Father." I was upset again and I walked to where she had fallen but she was getting ready to attack me. I didn't dodge and used my body again to push her back. This time as she made contact with my body a loud c***k was heard. I straightened myself as she laid on her side growling and whimpering. I walked up to her and said, "You should change back to help you heal faster." She gave me a low growl and her father said, "You should listen to her. She may not have been born a werewolf but her wolf has the knowledge to lead us." I looked at him feeling a bit ashamed for having beaten his daughter.
