Adopting Nyla

Darius ( being tensed) : How are they? Are they alright? What did the Doctor say?

John was standing still with full of silence.

Nefret standing behind Darius tries to observe the situation.

Abram : ( in a low tone, holding Dary's arm) Their condition is very critical,Dary. The doctors operated them but due to severe internal injuries, Doctors cannot say anything right now. Praying to God is the only option left ( saying this he wipe his tears)

Just then the Doctor comes to them and informed that Nadia is dead. Due to non-stop internal bleeding. Doctors couldn't save her. Hearing this John burst into tears and runs towards his sister, to meet her for the last time. 

The three standing there couldn't believe their ears, what they just heard. After few mins, a nurse comes to them and tells that Nabil regains consciousness and that only two member at a time are allowed to visit him. Hearing this Dary and Abram wipe their tears and goes inside. Nefret remain standing outside when her eyes fall on an elderly lady sitting in the nearby couch with a little girl of almost 3 years laying in her lap. While observing the lady carefully, she remember that the lady is Nadia's mother whom she met at Nadia's wedding in Cairo. The lady is sitting still and expressionless with full of silence. It seems that she got a big shock. Her face turns pale and dull. Nefret then sees the little girl who looks quite innocent. The girl is looking like an angel in the blue playsuit.

Nefret : ( thinking in her mind) She is Nadia's daughter for sure and looks exactly like her mother. She was so small when I met for the first time after her birth and now she is this much big. Children grows very fast. Nefret then sits beside her and the girl wake and sits straight.. Nephret runs her hand lovingly on the girl's head. And the little girl gives her a sweet smile. 

Nefret (in her mind) : she is such a pure soul.

After sometime Nefret sees that, Darius is shouting and calling for the Doctor. The doctor and the nurse enters into the room. Nefret move towards the door and looks inside through the glass fixed into the door. The inside happening scene is sufficient for her to understand that Nabil is no more. She could see Darius and Abram bursting into tears holding Nabil's hand (who lying lifeless)

Then Nefret's mind shift towards the little girl.

Nefret : ( thinking) How can life be so unfair to this innocent soul. Within a fraction of second she become an orphan. She just lost her parents. She just suffers from a huge loss at such a young age. 

Thinking this Nefret runs towards her and take her in her arms and starts kissing her cheeks with full of motherly love. She gives her a tight hug with full of love. In return the girl gives Nephret a slight smile.

After sometime Abram and Darius comes out. Abram goes with the doctors in order to complete the formalities. While John and Darius comes to them. Nefret gives the girl to her uncle,John. John takes her in his arms and starts kissing her and hugs her very lovingly. Looking at her innocence. She couldn't control tears coming out from his eyes.

Nefret goes with Darius to see Nabil and Nadia for the last time. Looking at their lifeless bodies, Nefret burst into tears. Darius tries to console her. He takes her away. After sometime when Nefret stop crying...

Darius : Nefret ?

Nefret : (looking at him carefully) yes

Darius : I thought something and I want to discuss it with you.

Darius : ( being very serious) Nabil was always with me and our family during our worst days. He has done a lot of us. Today time has given me the opportunity to do something for him. I think we must take the responsibility of his daughter. And I think that John is still very young to take the responsibility of a child and also his mother's mental state is also very disturbed. Moreover I believe that, Nefret you are the one who can give her the mother's love. You are a very good friend of Nadia, only you can give her the better care. ( Saying this he paused)

Nefret : ( after listening him carefully) you just steal my words. I will consider myself to be blessed if I get the opportunity to be a mother again ( that too of my bestfriend's daughter)

Darius hugs her lovingly with full of pride.

Nefret ( breaking the hug) : we should not waste more time and talk to John about it.

Both rushes towards John and coming to him.

Nefret : John, we want to take the responsibility of your niece. We want to adopt her. We want to give her the love of the parents the she deserves and required.

John : ( looking constantly at them) I was worrying thinking about her. But now I feel very relaxed. I trust you blindly. And I will never forget this favour of yours in my entire life (saying this he cried)

Darius : (holding John's arm) we are not doing any kind of favour. It is what we really wanted to do. We loved Nabil and Nadia as much you do. And we will be honoured, if we can do something for them. And this is you who gave us this right. You are one who is doing a favor to us.

John before giving his niece to Nefret, hugs and kisses her lovingly for the last time

John : ( in a very sweet tone) My dear, anytime you need me just remember me and I will be there for you anyhow.

Saying this he gives his niece to Nefret's arm.
