Levent's Feelings

Darius and Nefret comes running towards Levent

Nefret : (kisses Levent's forehead) My child, you are so grown up now. You have no idea how much we have missed you. Last time we saw you, when you were just a school going kid and today you have grown up into a college going guy. May Almighty bless you and fulfills all your wishes. (Nefret then hugged him tightly) and Nyla keep watching them lovingly with a bright smile in her lips.

Darius : Hey Champ, c'mon gimme a hug. (They hugged)

Darius (continues) : Each one of us missed you a lot and especially your Grandma. This is going to be a family weekend and I hope that this weekend will make our family bonding much stronger.

Abram : Very well said Dary! All this years, I was snowed under with my work that I didn't even had spent any quality time with myself or with Levent. But now I am happy that my son is with me and very soon he will be joining our family business after completing his studies.

Darius : That's awesome. 

Nyla : Mom , Dad, Uncle Abram.. I think you all can continue your conversation further in the dining table along with some healthy snacks and refreshments.

Levent chuckles

Nefret : Yes, that's a good idea.

Abram : Yes but before that I need a warm water shower.

Levent : yes, so do I.

Mr and Mrs. Magdy take them to their room.

Nyla takes her favourite novel and goes outside the house into the garden.

Nyla gets so involved in her novel . And just then  someone comes nearby her and shake her up from behind.

Nyla : (shockingly) Hey! You?

Noel : (raising his brows) Why you were expecting someone else?

Nyla : No, i***t. I thought you will be late. How come you so early? 

Noel : Actually we were quite lucky today as we got all the accessories from a single place and so we don't had to run from one shop to another. (Saying this he sits beside her)

Nyla : Alright, alright! By the way only this much. Where are the remaining stuffs?

Noel : (checking something inside the polythene bag) Remaining everything is at Aton's place.

Nyla : Okay! Okay!

Noel : (pulling out a gift box from his bag) Nyla, this is for you?

Nyla : For me? But what's that? (excitedly) Shall I open it now?

Noel : of course my dear! It's all yours.

Nyla opens the beautifully packed gift box and find a blue gemstone pendant attached to a platinum chain. (She looks at Noel) Is this a Benitoite Pendant?

Noel : Yes,You like it?

Nyla : Like? I love it Noel. How did you get this? How come you know?

Noel : Well, Mom told me that how badly you wanted to buy this Benitoite Pendant which was matching your gown for tomorrow's party but then it was the last piece left and already sold. Luckily today while roaming in the mall I found it in a jewellery shop.

Nyla : Seriously? You found it that easily. We visited almost every jewellery shop in Alexandria and the only answer I get to hear is that "it is out of Market". Till last week I got the same reply.

Noel : (in a teasing tone) Then in that case I think I deserve a tight hug for my great doing.

Nyla : (with a wide smile) Come here.. (and gives Noel the hug, he wished)

For dinner ( everyone in the dining room)

Abram : So, Noel? Tell me son, how's everything going on? Your life? Your studies?

Noel : Everything is going good Uncle Abram, by the grace of Almighty.

Abram : Dats better. And what's your future plans? After few months you will complete your 10th. So in which field you are interested to make your profession?

Noel : Even I wanted to join our family business just like you and Dad, and be a successful businessman.

Abram : Excellent my son, excellent.... Work hard from now onward, brush up yourself and I wish you all the very best for your future..

Noel : Thank you so much , Uncle Abram

Abram : And Nyla, What about you? What's your future plans?

Nyla : I want to be an Egyptologist , uncle Abram.

Abram : Dats an interesting choice my dear. Go for it. We are always there to support you Darling.

Nyla : Thanks a lot, uncle Abram

Nefret: By the way, Where is Levent?

Everyone looks at each other. Just then a maid comes and inform everyone that Levent went out to meet his friends here in Alexandria and asked her to inform everyone.

On the Rooftop

Nyla (wearing a black night shirt with her long straight hairs wide open lying flat and reaching her waist makes her look more cute) is looking deeply into the sky with her eyes focused on the twinkling stars and her mind lost somewhere.

Levent : Nyla....!

Nyla : (turns back shockingly) Hey, its you (and smiles)

Levent : (narrowing his brows)Expecting someone else?

Nyla : (smiling) Its nothing like that. I was just.....

Before she could complete her sentence, Levent cuts her..

Levent : (looking into her eyes) We were just not into this world. You were lost somewhere else. Or else you would have realised that I was watching you from the terrace door for more than a minute. 

Levent's words make her blush and she looks into other side in order to distract him from looking into her eyes. The way Levent looks into her eyes , she feels quite uneasy and different. Trying to change the situation Nyla changed the conversation...

Nyla : Uuuummmm..... Where did you go in the evening? Mum, Dad, Uncle Abram, all were asking for you?

Levent : And you?

Nyla : I was also wondering where you might have gone suddenly? You are new in this place and.. (Levent cuts her again)

Levent : Were you scared that I will get lost in this new city ? If it is so then let me remind you Nyla that I am not a kid.

Nyla : (in a silent tone) I know that but at least you should have informed before going. You know everyone missed you so much in the dinner table. The whole family gathered together after such a long time. You should have also be there with us. You know how much Mom and Dad was excited for you.

NYLA's every words were touching Levent's heart. He silently keep listening to her. 

Nyla : By the way where did you go? You haven't answered that yet...

Levent : Actually... I have a old friend here in Alexandria. So, I went to meet him.

Nyla : Okay! Have you done your dinner properly? If not then come with me and have your dinner.

Levent : Thank you... But I already had my dinner outside.

Nyla : Okay! That's better

Levent : I am so sorry Nyla. And I promise from the next time I will never miss any of the family time together. And will try to inform before going anywhere.

Nyla : Its alright. I hope you will not break this promise, though its been said that "Promises are meant to be broken".

(Levent burst into a short laughter)

Levent : Nyla, I spent almost my whole life far away from family into a boarding school. There I  only learnt about the value of punctuality, discipline, sincerity and so on. All this years I was living a materialistic life and honestly speaking I never got the opportunity to understand the value of family. This is the first time I am living with you all. Therefore my today's action might be a result of my early life. I hope you will understand me.

Nyla : I can understand you. But Levent trust me (she holds his hand in hers and a shiver passes down his body) that you are going to love this family moments very much. Just give your little effort and you will be quite enjoying it. (Levent nodded his head signifying a YES)

(Every words and action of Nyla is attracting Levent towards her.

Nyla : Trust me this week you are going to enjoy a lot. Me and Noel will never let you feel bore.

Levent : (coming out of his thoughts) NOEL????

Nyla : Your brother Noel (she narrows her eyes)

Levent : Oh Yes, I got it...

Nyla : You didn't meet him ? ( Nyla pouted)

Levent : Not yet.

Nyla : You both the Magdy brothers are very similar. When one is present, the other is absent and when the other is present, the former remains absent.

Levent chuckles

Levent : So I am present here now. Where is he? We can meet now.

Nyla: Noel is sleeping now.

Levent : So early? 

Nyla : Since yesterday he was there with one of his friend and today afternoon only he arrived. He must be tired. And moreover it's 11 pm. So, I think even we should go and sleep.

Levent : of course, of course. 

Nyla : Anyways it was nice talking to you and I hope you won't mind my words.

Levent : No, not at all. On the contrary I am thankful to you.

Nyla smiles

Nyla : Are you coming ? (She points towards the terrace door)

Levent : Well I would love to spend some quality time with myself. 

Nyla : Alright. See you tomorrow. 

Levent : For sure. Good night..

Nyla : (smiles)Good night....

Nyla turns and walk towards the door to go downstair to her bedroom.

And Levent keep looking at her from behind till the time she disappears...

After she disappears, Levent turn around and started gazing the twinkling stars in the clear sky.  A smile widely appears in his lips, thinking of Nyla. Levent thinking in his mind....

( I have spent a huge part of my life in the boarding school, away from my parents and my other family members. It seems like all this years I was living a materialistic life. But for the first time, a different kind of feeling is passing through my mind. And the reason for it is ofcourse none other than Nyla. Yes, it is Nyla. Its been less than 24hrs that I met her and with this few hours she had a great impact on me. (Blushing) Damn I simply can't understand what is it? Its not that for the first time I am meeting a beautiful girl. During my days at London, I used to be surrounded by lot of beautiful girls. I had many girlfriends but never have any girl had ever put such impact on me.

When Dad told me that we are going to spend a week here at Alexandria with the whole family, I didn't show much interest to it. Yes, its true that Grandma was very special to me but as she is no more today then for whom should I have come here. I met Darius uncle and Nefret aunty very few times during my childhood days, when Mom and Dad were not divorced. But after I left for London, I hardly had any interaction with them. In all this years its twice or thrice I remember when Dary uncle came with Dad to meet me at my boarding school. Well its not anyone's fault. The strict rules and regulations at my school prevented me from meeting someone other than the parents. Hence all this years I couldn't get to know their feelings for me. But today after meeting them for few moments, it seems like they love me so much. Nefret aunty treated me like a mother. I would have missed all this if I refused Dad to come here with him. I am glad that I took the right decision.

Well I only reason why I said yes to Dad is because I don't want to hurt him and moreover I do not had any other plans to execute. But while driving from Cairo to Alexandria, dad kept telling about everyone. He told me about Grandma, Dary uncle, Nefret aunty, Noel. I kept listening to him silently all the way but the only topic that attracted my mind was of NYLA. He explained to me everything about Nyla. He told me about Nabil uncle,Nadia aunty and about their friendship. How much they were close to the Magdy family. He even told me everything about the night of Nyla's adoption. How uncle John has given Nyla's responsibility to Dary uncle and Nefret aunty. After listening to her story, the whole way I was very eager to meet Nyla.

And after I saw her, deep inside my mind I lost myself. Suddenly a smile appears on my lips. Throughout the journey I was thinking of her and there she was standing there infront of me as soon as I turn back after locking my car. Her simplicity made my eyes stick to her. She was looking very lovely in the mustard yellow shirt and black trouser. Her smile made me go crazy. But I somehow managed to act smart infront of her. But I could spent only few mins with her in the daytime as I went to my room to get fresh and relax after the journey. But I couldn't take a proper rest as my mind was completely busy in thinking of her. After half an hour when I get a call from my old school friend, who now lives in Alexandria and wanted to meet me. As we didn't met each other after my 12th and as he came to know that I am here in Alexandria through my i********: status update, he asked me to meet him.)

Levent : (to himself) INSTAGRAM..? Fabulous.. I can search her in i********:.

Levent quickly opens his Insta account and search for Nyla Nabil. Lots of account with this name gets displayed into the screen. Luckily he was able to find her by identifying her profile pic. But unfortunately Nyla's account was in a private mode and it needs Nyla to accept Levent's request in order to follow her account by him. So Levent send a request to her. 

Levent : (to himself) Damn, she might be asleep now. How will she accept it now? I think I have to wait till morning.

When Levent backstep from the insta account, his mind shifts to f*******:.

Levent : (to himself) Awesome.. if not Insta then f*******: can definitely help me. 

He immediately opens his f*******: account and type Nyla's full name in the search bar. But unlike Insta Nyla's account appears on the top of the list with many more account with this name. Since there are three mutual friend between Levent and Nyla. Abram, Darius and John are the three person who are their mutual friends. Since John lives in Cairo, he has a very good family relation with Abram and Levent.

Levent immediately opens Nyla's account and starts scrolling her account. He get to see a lot of poetry shared by her and a lot of memes. He keep on scrolling and find her pics. In all her pics she has shared the frame with Noel. Except her Profile pic (which is a single pic of her), all her other pics were with Noel.

(Levent didn't met Noel yet, but he can identify him as Nyla and Noel had tagged each other in their pics. Looking them together a feeling of sadness appears on his face. He started reading the comments but in none of the comments they have been mentioned as a couple. Levent checked Nyla's relationship status and he is quite happy to find it Single. He also checked Noel's account and his relationship status which is also mentioned as Single. He then keep looking for Nyla's pic, until he finished each of the pic. But he is little bit upset to find Noel being so close to her. As most her pics is with Noel which consists of their pics from different occasions and outings. But at the same time he is relaxed that it is nowhere mentioned that they are couple.

Suddenly his mind went to flashback... (In the afternoon time when my friend called me and asked me to meet him, I thought of taking Nyla with me. As I am new in this city, I have a strong reason to ask her to accompany me. So I get ready immediately and as soon as I reached the garden in search of her, I found her hugging another guy. That guy is Noel for sure. Till now I haven't met him in person but I have seen his pics many times. I kept looking at them for few seconds. They were hugging each other so passionately. So I decided it's better not to disturb them and hence I left from there. But the whole evening, that picture of her hugging another guy was coming again and again. Looking at me, being in some dilemma my friend, who was very close to me during my school days, asked me the reason. And I open heartedly discussed everything with him. And he is the wise person who suggested me to not come into any conclusion without confirmation.

And now after looking at their relationship status it seems like they are not couple officially. But who knows what's actually going on in their hearts. I think I should talk to Nyla more often in order to understand her, to know everything about her in a better way.)
