Chapter 24: Old flames*

A few days later, Alannah was released from the hospital. Alannah was surprised when she was not released into Tao’s care, but into Kurt’s.
“Are you sure? I am guessing you have much more important things to do than hang around me all day!” Alannah said as she walked out with Kurt.
“What could be more important than looking after my future Queen?” Kurt said simply, making Alannah blush.
“Besides, on the occasions that I am needed elsewhere, Theo will take up the role of protecting you,” Kurt said as he opened the door to the car.
“Protect me? Protect me from who?” Alannah asked shocked.
“From your Twin brothers of course!” Kurt said a little too quickly. Alannah’s eyes narrowed suspiciously but she did not push it. Kurt had been extremely attentive the last couple of days, which was to be expected.
However, what Alannah did not expect was how attentive Theo was.
“Not in a weird s****l way, more like a fatherly way!” Alannah thought as she fell asleep on Kurt’s shoulder in the car. Kurt stroked Alannah’s hair and started chuckling when she started to snore.
When Alannah woke up she knew she was in Kurt’s large bed. Pleasant memories flooded back into Alannah’s memory as she stretched and got up. Putting on a Dressing Gown she walked into the living room area. She saw Kurt sitting at a desk, hunched over a computer cursing. Alannah walked over and saw some spreadsheets open.
“Everything OK, Kurt?” Alannah asked. Kurt looked up and smiled instantly.
“ Hello, Alannah, did you have a good sleep?” Kurt said pulling her onto his lap.
“Hmm, that bed is like sleeping on a cloud. Why are you stressing?” Alannah said.
“It is nothing, just can’t get this spreadsheet to add up!” Kurt said in a frustrated tone.
“Mind if I take a look?” Alannah asked and Kurt shrugged. Alannah did a few clicks and said “OK, well your formula had a mistake in it. That is what’s causing the issue! I have taken the liberty of correcting it and boom! All done” Alannah said.
“You know spreadsheets and accounts?” Kurt said shocked.
“Don’t look so surprised! Nine Tails have to hand in expense accounts every month to get our money back. The rest of the guys are hopeless, so I do it!” Alannah said as she tried to get up but Kurt tightened his grip.
“Where do you think you are going?” Kurt growled.
“Well, I am leaving you to get on with some work and I need to shower?” Alannah said trying not to giggle as Kurt's hands started to roam under her dressing gown.
“Hmm, what a good idea Miss Seaswell!” Kurt said as he suddenly got up and carried Alannah to the bathroom. Putting her down, he locked the door and put on the shower.
“Kurt, what are you doing?” Alannah said watching him get undressed.
“What does it look like?!” Kurt said as he turned his attention to Alannah. He kissed her neck as he slowly unrobed her.
“I..can.. shower myself you know!” Alannah mumbled as she felt sparks at his touch.
“But, where is the fun in that?” Kurt said as he lifted her and carried her into the large walk-in shower. Kurt then gently washed her from her head to her toes. He even carefully washed and conditioned her hair. Alannah started to return the favour and began to wash Kurt.
“Do they hurt?” Kurt asked suddenly.
“Does what hurt?” Alannah asked confused.
“Your scars,” Kurt said as he gently traced one on her shoulder.
“Well, they did when I got them, but not so much now!” Alannah said with a smile.
“How did you get this one?” Kurt said still looking at her shoulder.
“Hmm, stabbed with a fighting star I think!” Alannah said.
“And this one?” Kurt asked as he moved to her forearm.
“Oh, that was hunting dogs a while back. It got infected, so looks worse than it was!” Alannah said trying to keep the situation light. Kurt had turned very dark and broody suddenly.
“This one?” Kurt said pointing to the large 2-inch scar on her hip.
“I got that falling off a bike!” Alannah said.
“Really?” Kurt said shocked.
Alannah chuckled, “No of course not! I got that training!”
Kurt suddenly growled and pushed her back against the shower wall. His blue eyes staring intensely into Alannah.
“Woah Kurt, what the matter?” Alannah asked.
“You think it is funny?” Kurt said.
“Funny?” Alannah said confused.
“The fact you have been hurt so seriously, so many times!” Kurt said.
“No, but it is my job, Kurt. Fighters get hurt or even die in the ring, it is deemed an honourable for someone like me!” Alannah tired to explain.
“An honourable death? Do you have any idea what losing you would do to me?” Kurt growled.
“You would find someone else, a handsome hunk like you!” Alannah teased.
Kurt lifted her head and crushed her lips with his. Alannah moaned as she felt his tongue in her mouth. Kurt lifted her legs and put them around his waist. Alannah instinctively put her arms around his neck, her core already dripping in anticipation.
“There will never be anyone else Alannah!” Kurt said as he thrust into her.
“f*****g hell Kurt!” Alannah screamed as she felt herself stretch.
“Oh sweetheart, we are just getting started!” Kurt said as he started to shag Alannah senseless.
A few hours later Kurt looked down to see a sleeping Alannah on his chest. He sighed, he wanted to wait till she was a bit better. As difficult as that would have been. He had even gone into the shower with honourable intentions, but the feel of her body against his was too much temptation. Then seeing those scars and hearing her might light of them drove him over the edge. He needed to show her how much she meant to him.
Ok, so maybe shagging her senseless was not the most romantic thing Kurt had ever done, but going by how wet she was when Kurt entered her, he knew she would no complain.
Kurt tried to move a little and Alannah protested by hanging on to him and saying sleepily “Don’t leave me!”
“Never!” he swore as he kissed the top of her head
“Good!” Alannah said happily before falling back into a deep sleep.

“I will be alright, now go!” Alannah said as Kurt fussed around her. Kurt was worried about something, especially when he attended meetings the last three days.
“Theo will be right over!” Kurt said kissing her forehead.
“Yes, I know! I doing some training with him. No! Don’t look at me like that! The Doctor said it was fine, besides I take it easy.” Alannah said as she shooed him out the door.
“Love you, Alannah!” Kurt said as the elevator doors closed.
Alannah shut the door behind her and went to make herself a green tea. She was excited to be starting training again, she needed to work off some anxious energy. There was a knock at the door.
“As expected!” Alannah cursed as she opened the door and saw a big white box.
Alannah looked round, but the delivery person was nowhere to be seen. Alannah took the box in and opened it, like before there were flowers in there. This time it was sweet peas - a personal favourite of Alannah’s. She sighed and found the notecard. As expected there was a message.

“This is starting to get old!” Alannah shouted as she opened the kitchen bin and unceremoniously threw them in.
“What is getting old?” Theo said walking into the kitchen.
“Nothing!” Alannah said a little too quickly.
“You are a terrible liar Alannah! You are also clearly upset, so I ask again what is wrong?” Theo asked.
“Alannah normally takes everything in her stride, so something must be badly wrong.” Theo thought.
“I keep getting flowers,” Alannah said rubbing her forehead.
“Flowers?” Theo said confused.
“Yes, flowers!” Alannah snapped.
“Ok calm down, I am guessing they are not from Kurt?” Theo asked.
“No, in fact, the person goes to great lengths to avoid Kurt knowing!” Alannah said sitting down.
“What do you mean?” Theo said.
“Meaning they arrive exactly 30 mins after Kurt has left. They have also left no trace of their identity either at the florist or the hotel lobby. I checked, twice!” Alannah said frustrated.
“It could just be a crazed fan?” Theo suggested.
“No, they know too much about me and the notes are too personal!” Alannah said at the thought.
“What do the notes say?” Theo asked.
“How he is my true love and how we are going to be together soon!” Alannah said.
“Why do I get the feeling you know who it is?” Theo said.
“Because I do, it is Akihiko and he wants to meet me!” Alannah said.
