After a few more hours, the doctors cleared Zoey and it was time to leave. Conrad wanted to cause problems, but Zoey said something to him and he respected himself.
I stifled back a laugh as we walked back to the car. I had to go back to Conrad’s residence earlier to pick up my car.
“How do you feel?” I asked Zoey as we drove away from the hospital.
“Terrible.” She said with a heavy sigh. “I’m in so much pain and I feel so much hatred towards Conrad.”
My lips curled into a soft smile.
But I quickly masked it.
“I’m sorry about him. He always has a way to mess things up.” I said as I turned to another street.
