My grip tightened around the phone. I was trying my best to be nice to Selena. I had no idea why I even answered her call.
“Zoey, are you still there?” Her voice came through the line. “I said I’m sorry, why are you quiet?”
I let out a sharp exhale.
“What do you want me to say?”
“Tell me that you’re not upset anymore. Tell me that you’ve forgiven me,” she replied with a hint of desperation in her voice.
