I walk back out and find an officer talking to Cali and James. "Hello, I am looking for Officer Stephan," I tell him. "It's your lucky day. He is standing in front of you. How can I help you?" he says. "Great, Rae wanted me to find you and get her purse from you," I tell him. "Of course. I was actually just telling her parents that they are taking her statement now, and she will be able to leave with you all after, as long as it lines up with the other statements we got from the witnesses, otherwise there might be official questioning, but I have a feeling that won't be necessary," he says, handing me her purse. He tells us a little more about what happened, and then he excuses himself so he can keep an eye on everything so he can make sure they are following the law.
