This memory tasted like happiness but quickly turned very bitter. Instantly I was transported to a place that I was unfamiliar with.  --- A woman sat on a bed looking tired. The room was extravagant; the bed had all sorts of furs and pelts on it to keep her warm. The fireplace was burning brightly. There were pictures up over the walls of what looked like my mother and the male version of myself. The woman looked like my mother, but I'd always known her to be black-haired like me. She was blonde, but the expression on her face looked happy. She was sitting with a baby on her lap. The baby cooed and giggled as they played.
