The fluorescent light flickered above our heads, and the light bounced off the polished wood surface of the desk, and its subtle buzzing joined the low humming of the idle computer screen. Outside the office, the reserve had slowed down from the hectic pace of the day into a quieter state, although the pack never entirely stopped.
